Lisa is very funny, for something her duality always stands out, from being very funny or tender to a fierce attitude on stage.
Behind the scenes really shows how much Jisoo is the mood maker. And Lisa is the little sister of the group. Filming anything like this is really a journey with Jisoo. Nobody knows the camera craft better. She's been on countless photo shoots/movie sets. The other girls have openly said that she directed them to like come in sideways on their scenes. She's directing her bandmates on how to address the camera in whatever situation. They trust her. By the way, the directors that they use are legends in this industry. And of course, the art direction is OUTRAGEOUS!!

Sometimes, I love watching the behind the scenes of YG MVs. It shows the effort their props team give to their sets. Barely any green screen. And my heart breaks how some awesome sets just appears for a few seconds on video. You can also see how they are when noy glammed up and how their relationship with the staff are. ❤

If you want more behind the scenes of MVs, im sure you have already been recommended it but you need to watch Blackpink 24/365 episodes as they do a extended version of the behind the scenes of How you like that on there and also Ice cream. Plus you really see their personalities on that show. They are cute and hilarious! I think you would really enjoy their go Karting episode, my favourite episode is their "team role play" episode and their anniversary episode.

For the best "Behind The Scenes" of the girls being themselves (IMHO), besides the Netflix doc, is BLACKPINK DIARIES. Easily digestible, about 9-12 minutes each episode, and shows the girls on their 2019 World Tour; rehearsing, performing, having fun, sightseeing and eating (a lot!)

To answer your question ( kind of), there's no specific mention of the number of takes for each scene, also each director has their own style and sense of when he thinks he's got it. I can say that historically the M/V's are shot in 3-4 days, shooting both day and night. The sets are all ready to go in the same studio, next to each other. This way they can go back and forth between sets as each girl is ready. The girls have said that they only get a few hours of sleep during the shoots. Post production is about two weeks, the video drops at that point. When there's news that they're shooting a video BLINKS start getting crazy as they know that it's only a few weeks until it debuts!
Yah, watch their series from Blackpink 24/365 episode 2, which they've shown the scenes with Jennie's umbrella, then using it to Jisoo's by burning it in the background for her. The clips are more of their acting abilities in making a music video and the duality of each members.
This types of videos show their dichotomy so well. The utmost badasses on stage, in MV's, and the goofiest, seemingly down to earth girl next door girls off stage. You think they had you hooked from their music? You are finished now once you start watching their behind the scenes stuff and Blackpink Diaries and Blackpink House and such..........
I'm going to try and do as much as I possibly can. Haha. These ladies are amazing!

Love your reactions! If you like behind the scenes content, maybe consider Black Pink House (tv series). The show shares their daily lives during one of their 100 day vacation. You get to see how the girls interact with each other, see what activities the girls likes or dislikes. I believe this was one of their first show documenting parts of their lives. I love this show epically the episode where they went tree trekking and Jisoo is afraid of heights. Anyways, love to see more of your Blackpink and Babymonster contents!

Blackpinks Behind The Scenes are great, I'm glad you got into them. In addition to seeing the girls personalities, you get to see all the practical effects used and not green screen or CGI. Two that are must see are KILL THIS LOVE and PLAYING WITH FIRE. If you're going to react to any more, please include those 2. Enjoy your reactions, especially to Blackpink and Babymonster. The audio balance between your mic and the video is very good now, no adjustments needed IMO. As far as the heart fingers, I first picked up on it from watching kpop back in 2014/15. Sorry, I couldn't tell you any more history to it than my personal experience. I always thought it was just a Korean thing.

Hey, so just a clarification, a more detailed behind-the-scenes is available in Blackpink's show 24/365 with Blackpink on youtube. It has a lengthy behind-the-scenes for lovesick girls, how you like that, and ice cream. I think that is something you'll enjoy much more.
I'm not sure how Movie Studio time works here in North America, but in Korea, they use almost every minute. Sometime shoots for scenes are Well past 2-3am. Mamamoo (Another Group you should see) Made a song called Falling asleep in the Car. Why? Because of an all night shoot. Enjoy the journey! These Ladies work hard!

The finger things is called "mini heart". Asian use it all around. Btw the mic. level is fine now comparing to past. Each MV plans over 2 months and took 2-3days shoot, exclude Jacket shooting, according to watch their BPM.

Making hearts is kinda a part of kpop culture, it's a way for idols to express love to fans even when they're unable to verbalize it in big crowds settings or through the camera... it's very thoughtful and kinda genius if you think about it...many think that it originated with YG themselves but I'm not really sure, I just heard this through the years
Actress Kim Hye-soo is the first person credited as doing the gesture in 2010. But nowadays most ,if not all , Korean celebrities can be seen doing that heart gesture as a way of showing their love for their fans.

I think you should watch the video in the Channel-Jolly and the title is "British priest reacts to Blackpink-How You Like That", actually the explanation given by her sister who was probably students of history from Cambridge University.

Your mike is well balanced. The two-finger sign = the heart. Origin = don't know. Wide spread in the K-pop world. I have watched all behind-the-scenes movie-making videos, and the interview videos in which they talked about the MV making processes. I highly recommend that you check as many of them out as possible. It would be very worth your time. Very entertaining. I recall for one MV (I don't remember which one), they did 30 takes for 1 scene. On the other hand, in the making of Jisoo's MV 'Flower', it took her one take each for a few scenes. For this 'How You Like That' MV, there was a real donkey in the scene with Lisa rapping in a Middle East or Indian setting. In the 2d episode of the 'BlackPink 24/365' video series, you could see that they did set the umbrellas on fire in the scene with Jisoo in the red dress. In the an interview a few hours right before the release of this MV, for the on-the-floor dance in the last scene, the ladies talked about going home many days after the dance practices, they would compare their knees to see who got the worst swelling and bruises. For the MV 'Pink Venom', Jennie said in an interview that they shot the entire video 24 hours x 4 days. No sleep. For the MV 'Kill This Love', in the first scene for the first chorus, the one with an explosion, it was a real explosion. One take only, of course. There was a gigantic "bear trap" prop (as seen in the MV) that the 4 ladies danced on it. And the 4 BP ladies don't get to see the final completed MVs before the rest of us, but at the TH-cam upload time, just like everybody else. So, whether you want to react to these MV-making videos, or check them out in your private times, it's up to you b/c there are many of them, some of them having 2 or 3 versions, and it would take you a long time to go through them. But it's really worth your time to watch them. Enjoy.😊

This is also my fav part of kpop is they do behind the scenes stuff...also I highly suggest checking out the MV theories and you'll learn that kpop MVs are very intricate and alot goes behind every scene that is shot in concept and meanings (lots of hidden meanings)
A lot of the leaders of kpop companies are fans of old American music videos/artist from the 80s and 90s you can see the influences, but they really take it a step further where as Western music/MVs basically went backwards ( just my opinion no hate)
