There's nothing wrong with Brisbane as a city, in fact, as a southerner, I like Brisbane's milder climate...that is...not clothes-rottingly humid and miserable in summer, and beautifully mild and breezy in winter (just enough to warrant a jacket and a doona at night). There's nothing wrong with Brisbane at all, you just need to distinguish yourselves from 'Surfers' and 'Northern QLD'. That's all you need to do, and you've got an awesome city. Brisbane is good, but it can be better...and I'm guessing your government is on it...xx oo
As a Queensland resident of Australia I am only to happy to be in the Moreton Bay Shire just south of the Sunshine Coast. Street Blocks are tired and outdated and a major safety risk to commute in and out. This Cross River Rail is not the answer, Just saying.
I’ve got a story from Brisbane. Last night I went to see Arj Barker live at the powerhouse and it was terrible. Zoned out several times. Is he actually funny though? How is he better than Carl Barron? You’d think after 30yrs of stand up, you’d know to hold the mic to your mouth, not at arms length while you’re talking.
