Lost my beloved father aged 72 years old last year. While I was always the Steve Vai fan, he also really liked Vai, especially this piece. Miss you Dad. The fact that many loves of my life endure, including Steve Vai; makes me very happy.
Saw this guy, my guitar hero on the G3 with Satch and Eric in LA 5 months ago and actually was not surprised for he, at his age is one of the selected few that can still bring it as if it was 1995 again. Once he, his counterparts finally retire i am in a disconnect of who is left…. It’s not by accident tho… He and others his age that can still shred are not, and were never the coke sniffing, boozing, and trashing their bodies musicians…. It was all about the music first and not the drugs and substance abuse…. That’s why this guy at his age can still pull off what he does but it took alot of reservations not to get hung up with that scene….. I applaud him and all like him that basically said…. NO!!
Steve Vai is one of those rare musicians that no matter what point he's at in his career, he's always moving upward, never backwards. In other words, no one will ever say that "Steve Vai's best work is behind him". The only guitar player I can think of who is more emotive with a better feel is the late great SRV. Truly rare company.
@ 2.08 till 2.16 is one beautiful question and answer lic!!!!! Man I thought Jim Carrey had the facial expressions 😅 "Total respect to you Mr Vai",we getting to see your emotion in every lic, is truly inspiring.

This was the first Vai song I learned all the way thru back when I was an up-n-coming guitarist.
Dude!! If you can play this masterpiece then post it…. There are only a selected few on the planet that can do so.,,

Wow, one of the best renditions of 'Tender' I've seen Steve play! Just fantastic!
I was going to to say the exact same thing! I think it’s actually the best I’ve ever seen him play this!
My favorite vai tune 🎸🔥

When you can feel it while you're playing it, you're onto something special

Ya le pega la edad a este idolo. Excelente interpretación.
omg another version of tender surrender on YT.
I think I would make similar faces if I could play this masterpiece
Steve Vai is turning into Ronnie Wood 😄
Great playing!
Гений!!! Genius!!! greetings from Russia
Virtuosity doesn't really cover it does it?
기타리스라기보다 스티브 바이는 예술가다.
That face at 1:38 is priceless. 🤣🤣🤣
magia
*Ralph Macchio has entered the chat.
Steve doesn't play guitar, he breathes guitar.
Really nice ballot
He's playing better than he has done in a long time. No. Let me rephrase that. He's playing better live than he's ever played live.
Put that in a time capsule and title it what the electric guitar is capable of.
He plays with sexy face!
one could call it Villanova Junction ??....
This is worlds better then the CD Version. Probably the Only Guitar Player that gets better with age. And Eric Johnson.
He is old now, but still playing better than anybody.
Old but more gold so everyone else has to fold.
imo has so much more soul than polyphia. altho some of their songs do have soul.
Oh hell yeah
😑
