Western Maryland 1309: A Frostburg Christmas

This Time on Tristan Rail Productions we Take you for a Final Trip to the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad for Former C&O 2-6-6-2 Mallet No.1309. These are Rare Trips Out of Frostburg MD. This was One of the Hardest 1309 has Worked, up the Steep Grades, of the Former Western Maryland/Cumberland & Pennsylvania Trackage. No.1309, was also Wearing the New York Central 6 Chime, as it Echoed thru the Hills and Mountains of the Cumberland MD and Mt. Savage Areas. No.1309 works Hard and Put on a Good Show, So Please Enjoy a Frostburg Christmas with No.1309!

It’s interesting for a long time, ocean view was the last full dome car owned and operated by Amtrak. It was originally built for the Great Northern Rail Railway’s Empire Builder passenger train I’m glad to see it happily enjoying its retirement from revenue service on the East Coast on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Correct me if I’m wrong about the cars history

Pretty cool video of Chesapeake & Ohio 1309. I would like to see that engine at the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. I have went to the Holiday Lights Train at Roaring Camp Railroad back in December 4th.
