Good review, about what i thought after watching you ride down Hayes. Man that trail is rough, i was there a couple days after you, glad you made it safely! On a side note, Wolfman you need to take that ebike up ox pull. I just bought an Adventon Ramblas and rode up ox, it's a great trail, with assistance 😆
Interesting as bought some 26" ZTZ air forks to replace my 20" spring forks on an eBike. They have a threaded head set & a giraffe quill stem with BMX 9.5" rise bars & need a heavy duty BMX stem for safety. Then the same day saw your review of ZTZ forks 4 yrs ago & was having buyer remorse. Now you say for streets & green trails they are good & better than the 65mm of travel on the stock heavy steel forks.
R&D in China is “disassemble and copy” I appreciate having cheap options and it does likely put some pressure on companies to reign in prices / maintain high quality. Not necessarily but in general. Chinese quality is hit and miss. Typically there are a few manufacturers that make a given product (or it’s components) that are then branded (or assembled and branded) by a variety of other companies. This is why all the Chinese budget forks seem the same.
That’s pretty much anything Chinese made. They buy old planes from companies that the patent expired and do their best to make it on machines that worn out 50 years ago.
It may be good for a green or blue trail. I replaced the coil fork on my e bike with something similar (minus rebound) and it works good on the blue trails. I would not jump it (then again, I’m too old to jump)
I was thinking of putting a cheap air fork on my significant others Ardor. But i worry about the durability of said fork (lutu, buclos, etc. She only rides it on the road and rail trails. But i still have this thought of it breaking while in use. Im torn lol 120 on the cheap fork or spend the 2 hundo for a Judy tk.?
I can understand people looking at these forks as a cheap upgrade to lighten their bike ect but do you think it would even last a couple of months before it clapped out ?
Subject: Quick Question About Fork Compatibility for Hyper 26E Mountain Bike Hi Jeremiah and The Wolfman, I hope this commintfinds you both well. I have a quick question about my Hyper 26E mountain bike from Walmart. I'm considering upgrading the front fork on my bike, but I'm working with a tight budget. Do either of you know if a budget fork would fit this particular model? Any recommendations or things to watch out for? Thanks in advance for your help!
100 dollars for a fork. Just being budget at times they just are not great but can be someone who just likes to ride. I fixed bikes for years. I’ve seen things thrown out that had life left. And where people just pick the worst in things. Instead of being what is at the subject. I got a free GT aggressor pro. Now I’ve seen videos of it but to each it’s own we put on our bikes what we think is the best. Now by saying that I ride an old steel frame road and mtb. Out of date for sure. Bikes are like shoes. Ya don’t have the best pair you are made fun of. No shinny new parts on the bike it’s budget. Yo guys. Your videos are great.
I've owned a Himalo fork and after each trail ride there would be a good amount of oil on the stanchions. It performed good for a few rides until most of the oil came out and then it needed to be serviced.
I think you guys were too lenient in this review. That fork is too close in price to some actual decent forks you've used. It "might" be good for green trails if it has some durability. With how it performed, I doubt it will...but I could be wrong. And if someone is really on a budget with a budget bike, they probably don't want to buy a new wheel to be able to use it.
Thank you for risking your life with a $100 air fork for us
You are very welcome 🙏
Good, honest review. It’s a $100 fork. It met expectations, and that’s what it is good for.
Absolutely 💯 Thanks Greg
I agree, green trails and Dad's riding in subdivisions with shoddy pavement.
Nice to see the junp make a second appearance!! Stay frosty fellas
Dude you called it!! 25 lol
Also loving the junp!! Thanks
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS was a lucky guess hahaha
I used the fork on my bike for around 4 years now, the oil just started leaking , headset broken, losing air, not stiff at all

Oh for sure! Especially since we have got the new groupset on that puppy.
I need to learn all the bicycle lingo!😅

Man we have that effect lol, hopefully it works out for ya. Nothing wrong with a good budget fork, but like we said, all in what you ride 😉
Apparently all these “ China made budget forks” mostly use old fox or rockshox internals , like 10 year old technology
Technology maybe, same quality no.
Is that a bad thing lol???
They seem fair for the $

Any upgrades on that mongoose switchback comp?? Got one for Father’s Day. Definitely has a chain switching gears on its own.
Awesome!!! Gonna be busting it out tomorrow!!! Should be the next vid!?!?
Happy Father's Day Wolfman a day late❤
Thanks so much

Hi Jeremiah and The Wolfman,

MAXXLITE 36MM MTB FORK PLEASE CAN YOU TEST IT
What happened to fushion enix? Poof its gone, like kyser sosae
Unfortunately they stopped selling it?? So Sad
What's the difference between ztz lpxx and rc2?
How do I know what size wheel/rim will fit the threw axel on the new fork
It will be a non boost axle front wheel needed. 15x100mm
My Fox 32 stepcast has 20 clicks of rebound too.....where is that made?😅
Seems like a funny coincidence!! 😁

I own a lutu fork and have seen ztz and himalo and I think they are all made by the same company ,, just different stickers ,what do you all think ?
The internals would be the same specially those fork with Manitou's old abs+ toggle
I've owned a Himalo fork and after each trail ride there would be a good amount of oil on the stanchions. It performed good for a few rides until most of the oil came out and then it needed to be serviced.
Id rather spend that 100 on sugar free redbulls

Buy this shit if you wanna waste money 🎉
It's pretty much trying to look like a fox factory 32 lol
