If you want your chipper to set higher here is a suggestion. I have a Walenstein BX42 and mounted 4x6 pressure treated timber to the bottom on each side. Cut to length, drill holes in chipper, and bolt on.

Good Morning GP. Man that thing is sweeter today than the introductory vid... Thank you for the honorable mention...LOL. One real important thing to remember is if the un-stabilized three point shifts upward on a downward slope, especially traveling at an angle, the shifting weight can plunge you into a sidewards skid that can end catastrophically in a jack-knifed rig...or worse. The smaller the tractor, the easier it is to have it happen too !! You looked like a kid in a candy store with a pocket full of money the whole video....still chuckling.

@@ThomassEvo Good evening Sir, on a rear three point attachment on a tractor, their noting to keep the three point to lift if the trailer is pushing toward the tractor. That cylinder for the three point is not a double action ( up and down ) only up, so if the trailer is pushing toward the tractor the three point will lift and often with catastrophic failure !!! Do you understand Sir ? Cheers

Nice new machine GP, I have two of the same B2650 tractors, one with cab and one without. Love them both, you will appreciate that cab every time you use it for sure. On the exhaust I installed an angled piece of radiator hose to deflect the exhaust away from the loader, the hose will flex in case you catch a root and there has been no damage to the hose from the exhaust.

Love the new tractor GP. Especially all the upgrades, its really nice. I like the telescoping lift arms. Wished they came standard on ALL tractors. I noticed the hydrostatic transmission whines just like my JD.3025 E. Mines two years old and I have never gotten used to the sound. Doesn't affect the performance just the squall, they tell me its normal and all hydrostat drives does this. This year J.Deere has come out with a "D" series that is Shuttle Shift. BTW it comes standard with the telescoping lift arms too. Time for me to talk with the wife about an upgrade. I like all makes, models, and colors. The brand doesn't matter i just like all tractors. Wish you all the best my friend.

Good morning Philip. I'm sorry to hear that - I can picture it though - your stabilizer bar I imagine. The lower lift arms must have been pulled in close so the stabilizer bar contacted the shackle (?). I seldom keep my drawbar on the tractor unless I am planning on using it. So, last winter.... We got hammered with 30"+ of snow. We're no stranger to snow, but not that much that quickly, all at once. I purchased a Kubota Grand L 3560, good unit. Prior to this, we had a John Deere 1025R, also good unit. I don't mind operating both, but the comfort of the JD is FAR superior to Kubota! I might winding up having a yellow seat in my orange tractor.. Also is an enclosed cab, heat and A/C... It's the "Limited Edition", meaning it's missing things to bring down the price. But, I had the rear work lights, and side mirrors installed. The unit was about $40,000....

Morning Gord! Nice to see you making use of the new toys! The K-connect and funneled entry for the SSQA are great new features. It took me a number of hookups while to learn how to align the SSQA on my L4060, and although I’m fairly efficient now, that angle would definitely help!
One tip you might want to consider - especially with the somewhat more limited vision with the cab - is to paint the tips of your pallet forks a nice bright Kubota orange. I painted the outer 8” of mine and it’s amazing how much it helps you find and place them in certain situations!

Hi Gord! You have a fine new tractor! That tapered design on the bucket is nice for making the SSQA easier. My bucket has flared edge guides the accomplish the same thing, but my pallet forks are like yours and require a more precise aim to pick them up. BTW, I like you new intro clip on the videos! Cheers!

Nice to see the nex LX2610 earning its keep around the property. Any reason you weren't using the quick hitch with the box blade? I have a Land Pride QH10 and am still waiting for my covid delayed 60" box blade. I saw it the new tractor arrive in 310 and this is video 312 but no 311. When do we get to see the "Lost" episode?😁

Gord, Thanks for sharing these videos. I'm ready to jump feet first into my first tractor and looking to purchase an LX2610. I've noticed you don't have the rear hydraulics? I would think with you doing all the scraping and road work you do, you would have bought the rear hydraulics.

If you're neighbor Guy still has his sawmill. I would coat the frame with some type of tar or oil based coating. With living in the woods the only thing that the lumber cost you is time.

I have a Kubota L. It has 220 hours on it with some hard work (grading and loader work mostly). My friend has a Mahindra that has the same amount of hours. He has blown five hoses and two cylinders so far. His tractor is a year younger than mine. I am not saying this is the case with all Mahindras but I am saying this is the case that I know of. In my opinion: You can't go wrong with a Deere or Kubota.

Rofl Stomps thank you. We have MF JD and Kubota in my region. Ever if MF is less expensive I’m thinking of going green or orange. About the same price for the same options/attachements. About the only big difference is that orange has air conditioning. Also I know all the staff at green but don’t in orange since they have a new owner.

Beautiful tractor Gord. looked at that unit two weeks ago, what a beautiful unit and I wish you best of luck in the future with it. Little one I have the 3039 is just fun machine and boy the cab will not take long to love. They are just perfect small needs tractors. We have a number of larger and much larger units but I just like the small 3039 the most.

Great Video! You gave a great demo on how the "float" position worked with the loader as you worked to gravel bed in you building. Plus a few other tips, remove that hitch with 3 point attachments, what can happen if this hitch is used with heavy load on uneven terrain. Thank You!

I learned something new! I bought a new 2 ton off road dump trailer from company in your neck of the woods (up in Canada) a few months ago. I've been alternating between the draw bar and the 3pt hitch, so I appreciate your advise about using the draw bar for heavy loads in ruff conditions.

I'm extremely conflicted about your trade in. Watching your last video of the truck hauling your 2601 off was like watching you trade in your dog for a new puppy. Also, I'm jealous. You just one-upped my 2018 2650. I need time to reflect on this. And the clip of your wood chipper reminded me of how badly I want one... After I finally get my grapple, of course. Wife doesn't want me watching your channel anymore...

LOL! Good evening Brett. Yes, tough saying goodbye to the old girl. That B2601 was a great machine. You may want to make a list of all the chores your wife wants done that can only be done with a grapple and/or a chipper...:))) Just spit-balling. LOL! Have a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful new tractor mate. I'm on my 3rd Kubota now and have a low hour B7800 which is a great fit for me but I will be certainly thinking how nice a cab would be as I watch you doing snow removal this winter with the heater on and as I am all bundled up as I get my therapy.

Thanks for the video, I have a neighbor down the hill from me that has a Kubota tractor and the one thing that bugs me is hearing the whine that's coming from the drive. I've used hydraulic drive before and some seem to make a lot more noise/whine compared to other tractors.

Just after the 9-minute mark you’re talking about and holding what I believe you referred to as a 3/4” draw bar that you attach the trailer ball to. Where did you get that?? I have an LX2610 (just got it!) and am trying to rig it up for towing and skidding. Assumed I should put a ball hitch on the horizontal draw bar attached to the three point hitch, but now I’m thinking I should do what you’re doing instead! Any advice appreciated...
Thanks for the great video and all your replies to comments.

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Good morning Joel and congrats on the new tractor! You must be pumped. That drawbar I am holding is the draw bar that comes with the tractor. I just bought a 2" ball and bolted it on the hole. You should have one too - if it is not there, just below the PTO with a lynch pin holding it on, then give the dealer a call and let him know your tractor is missing the draw bar. Good luck!

I'm really glad to see that you upgraded your tractor.
Usually the best situation is to buy your last tractor First.
But in your case you had the opportunity to try an smaller machine and then upgrade.
    Enjoy the new machine.
Also, have you evaluated the acquisition of a cutting edge for that FEL bucket!?

2:45 this is how I bent the front-loader frame with my b2231 (its like b2650). Di you noticed that sometimes, one of the fork will absorb the weight faster, than the second fork? Then the result is, that You are bending the frame. I am not sure if I want to use the FL for this kind of job again, I rather prefer to have this implement in the back and adjust angle with hydraulic toplink.
