Who's idea was it to use the same weapon sandbox as 4v4s? Rocket and 2 Snipers on Refuge for 2s and 1s is like something Bungie would do and have done, lul.
i heard people say H5 has the most intense 1v1 fights of the whole series. um ok, he barely didnt move his reticle at 0:27 and got perfect hits every time. while the possibilities for movement changes has a deep system behind it, the game feels comparatively easy as you get away with very little precision. Even though people complained how exaggerated aim asssist and magnetism was in H2, I cant help it but, these 1v1 battles in H5 dont even compare to H2 classic BR fights...
I know this is an old comment.And I'm not knowledgable enough to argue your finer points. But I think because this game is shown through online spectating you don't quite see the exact pov of the player due to lag compansation etc so it's not a great example as you miss the nuance of their aiming .Personally I find H5 battles waaay harder than all other Halo games . Other places in the video you see sniper shots and headshots that look way off but hit etc. Just look at some of the lan tournaments for the crazy movement and aiming they use.

In a 2v2 the engagements aren’t very favorable for the PC. Plus, picking it up just gives the other team info on where you are since they can see it was taken off the weapon pad.
What do you mean it makes no sense? Turning the weapon pads off require changing the settings then reverting them back on the next game. Every 2s player knows not to pick up caster

hamstsorkxxor last time I checked strafing mattered most in halo 3 cuz halo 5 and halo 2 you didn’t have to lead your shots. The bullet magnetism in halo 5 is fuckin ridiculous and for noobs.. Halo 3 was the best halo hands down..

This took some skill, absolutely, but halo 3 was also much slower than both halo 2 and 5, so more time for aiming. This is part of why halo 3 MLG was played on small maps (keeping ranges short) with 110% damage settings (making the BR 11 shots to kill, instead of 12). However, aim is only part of what constitutes skill, movement and map awareness and the proper ability to read the enemy plays is what truly makes for a great player. As someone who has played a lot of all halo games, from CE to H5, halo 5 is definitely the one in which consistent hits are hardest to achieve, because of how fast the player speed is. And Halo 5 also as the most skill in terms of player movement and options. In total, I actually like Halo 3 more than Halo 5, because I enjoy the variety halo 3 offers being a better casual experience, especially BTB. But halo 5 has the definite competitive edge, no doubt.
hamstsorkxxor my man you so wrong in so many ways.. halo 3 was based on pure skill.. every single weapon had there own significant amount of damage.. halo 5’s weapons are all OP.. if you made the slightest mistake in 3 you were exposed and shot down but I see halo pros play and it’s just a cluster fuck with the thrusting abilities.. it’s not halo and halo 5 has no skill it’s pure garbage from weapons to starting weapons and everything about it screams call of duty.. it’s not halo
