Thank you very much for the very clear instructions !!!! However I had an additional problem which has taken me many hours to work out exactly why brushes were not rolling after following your careful instructions. So this is for anyone else who finds the same problem as me, the brushes were not rolling...... so I slotted the brush back into the holder, so the squares matched, as instructed in this video, but then brushes kept getting stuck, kept taking it appart and trying again in case I made an mistake. I finally worked out, the square on the brush, which is attached to a grey round disc, should rotate, unfortnately mine was stuck, and this was causing the brush not to rotate. So I used a small screwdriver to gentle release levy it from the main brush, untill i could turn it again. Now brushes rotate fine 👌 Sorry I know these are not great instructions, but I hope they help someone.

@@russellf So the square is set in a round disc which attached to the brush, very gently with the smallest screw drive you have, levy the sides of disc all the way round, be careful not to pull it out or you might permanently damage it. Good luck 👍

Just did this today puppy must have dragged ribbon under bed I hovered it up and couldn't get it entangled followed instructions you gave and managed to cut it off and reassemble Thank you

Got the three screws off the cover plate, but couldn't see how to get the brush bar out. Wouldn't have got there by myself. Many thanks for the information.

I would hope you have managed to figured it out now with this being a week ago but just incase, might sound stupid but did he press the brush rotation button next to the power button? X
WOW🌼 I can’t believe how well this works! I thought my rugs were clean, this thing sucked up EVERYTHING!! My old vacuum is going in the trash! Best vacuum out there. It sucked up cleaning powder built up on my rugs that I thought my old vacuum was picking up, I was wrong. Sucked up all of my pets hair, and more. BUY THIS!!
@@sophieb509 apparently it should, I ran a thin blade around the edge and popped the cap off to access the bearing, I cleared all of the gunk and then I put it back together, it works but it will need replacing next time I think!
Followed this tutorial and still no joys with the brush spinning. So contacted VAX support centre. There is another button where the power button is with two arrows, when you press that this gets the brush spinning again 😁
We have no green light following cleanup of the brush bar as instructed. I know about the reset button to press but the bar isn’t rotating either. Any advice anyone?
hayley mcdonald exact same problem with me sadly! I bought a new vax hoover basically the same in red.... and guess what? It’s fucked now to with the exact same issue lol it’s under warranty so waiting to get it sorted by them

You don't need to take the brush out. You can clean the brush from the bottom opening that the brush touches the carpet.
New vax. Hoovered up a wire had to do this but brush is 'locking'. No idea what do do.
Can you show how "remove the brush" as you the camera was out of angle. I have stuff stuck in this area and it's stuck

Cant get my brush back in!
I just use a Stanley knife and cut along it and pull the hair out don't have to take anything apart.
Really wish he had shown us it turned on afterwards... I've done all of this and the brush still isn't spinning
