I don't know, I think I'd put Nuclear War, or even just a belic level 3rd World War as bigger threat than climate change there... Considering the geopolitical situation right now. Just saying.
Well, let's put it this way, humans have survived two world wars and nuclear fall out before. If it happens again, parts of our race will survive. Climate change means that droughts, famine, and ice ages will destroy every living person on this planet. It was a huge issue 20 years ago when I started studying it. Now it's terrifying because no one is listening, and we are close to a stage where we won't be able to fight it anymore. It is really sad. Climate change does not mean one thing, it means many things that we can no longer control will destroy the human race. No clean water, no food , no warmth. Every single person will suffer. War does not mean the extinction of our race. Climate change does.
And can we please get rid of Eamon Ryan. He has a very low public appeal. Most people think he is a gobshit. He damages the Greens and should not be the face.

Right now, at the moment, War is a bigger threat in my view, "at this moment", as the ongoing conflicts might escalate to a an Europe wide one, then 3rd WW. I feel for you if you had to study 20 years to learn pretty obvious, plastered on the wall facts about climate change. On another note, the future of the species, personally does not concern me, only a War that might kill me and my family now, as I feel we deserve to end anyways, as a species; We all a bunch of idiots, as you noted, we know this for 30 years, and did nothing, cause capitalism, profit, profit, profit (oh, wait, war is the same reason). If you believe for a moment that electing MPs with "climate change" as a flag will change anything, you are out of your mind brother, money rules, we can't even stop a Genocide happening in front of our eyes, our system made us powerless even on the face of that, and climate change is no different.
