- YAY WE'RE BACK AT ALTON TOWERS FINALLY!! First visit of 2021! On day 1 of a two day epic visit to Alton Towers theme park in England, we did SO MANY AMAZING RIDES and had such an epic day! We rode favorites like Th3teen, Smiler, Wicker Man, Duel and I also rode some rides for my first time like Rita and Congo River Rapids! We had a yummy lunch and strolled the Alton Towers Gardens a bit as well! We also got stalled from riding Oblivion by a hail storm - ICE FALLING FROM THE SKY! It was so much fun and we met lots of nice people too! What's your favorite ride at Alton Towers? Alton Towers in general has a very "Some shit went down here." vibe lol. There's a lot of "lore" behind everything.

Great video 👍🏻 As a brit who's visited the Orlando theme parks, it's interesting to see how you feel about the UK parks. To me, they're very different, Alton towers has some amazing rides and attractions but I think the Orlando parks win hands down for theming and immersion. Cool to experience both...
I've always wanted to see the "real" Alton Towers park. There was a module for the Rollercoaster Tycoon game that allowed you to play the entire Alton Towers Park and the gardens inside it were simply amazing. I totally understand why you would just want to spend a day enjoying those beautiful parks. That Smiler ride looked so very cool. So jealous of your trip! Thanks so much for sharing. I love the style of this theme park and how the fountains and trees surround it. Very pretty..
The lawsuits definitely defined the uniqueness of their rides! Imagine another park trying to make a thrilling ride below the tree lines that isn't too loud either.
Totally agree with you about the gardens, we only wish we lived closer to Alton Towers to appreciate it. 🤞🏻the weather starts to improve for you.

You should check out thorpe park too! Their both owned by the same company (merlin) and Thorpe park sticks to their island theme a lot more than Alton does with its historical location.

Oh yea that chilly weather is tough! When Northerners visit Florida they wear shorts even in what we consider cold!

I love how they had the snack and drinks machines in the actual queues...and how there’s cubbies for your belongings so no need for a locker 😎 gorgeous park!

Great Vlog! We were there last week before the indoor attractions opened up. We spent the whole day in the rain but still had a great time. Made it a bit harder to vlog, but we’ll be back to my old haunt soon enough.

If Americans want to know what to pack when visiting the UK, then I say pack for all 4 seasons lol. A couple of sweaters and a waterproof jacket with a hood, even for summer! 😂 The weather can change several times in one day, so layers are good.

This looked amazing! I am from the Uk and only went there once and then after taking the monorail that takes you around the park before you pay he would not let us go into he park as he said it was too busy... 💔
The inclusion of the temporary carnival rides is such an interesting idea for helping with capacity

I went to Alton during Mardi Gras with a friend for the first time in 8 years for my birthday. It was absolutely amazing. Going back for scarefest for the first time and I am so hyped.

I go to Alton Towers and Thorpe all the time and literally you film stuff I never notice. I never noticed the Wikerman ram head in the shop roof before. I was literally at Alton Towers last week. Clearly I never bother to look up 😂
Yea there are a few buses available
X41: from various parts of Staffordshire including Uttoxeter Railway Station (Monday to Saturday, but not Bank Holidays)
X71: from Sheffield, South Yorkshire (weekends only)
X52: from Nottingham and Derby (Monday to Friday, except Bank Holidays, doesn't run in September)
All drop off at the bus stop near the main entrance. VERY handy for people who don't have their own transport!

I wish I had more than one day there. The place is just too massive. I juuuust got in all the stuff I wanted, but I felt rushed. I didn't get to explore enough.

They changed the queue line for Duel so people in Wheelchairs can experience the house part as before they would be escorted through the exit and miss out on the decorations in the front bit of the queue line.

AHH, nice to see you back at Alton Towers again after a year I think. Cool Hailstorm too. I love Hailstorms and Hailstones, they are so cool and fun. Also, nice to see all those rides again, they look very fun as I need to visit Alton Towers one day and I live in the UK so that makes it pretty easy for me. Hope you are enjoying your UK stay Jackie so far. 😇👍
It was really great meeting you and Sam near the Smiler yesterday. Weather was definitely a lot nicer compared to Monday! Getting to the park isn't too bad on public transport. Can get a train to Uttoxeter station fairly easily and get a taxi or bus straight to and from the park in about 20 minutes.
Glad you got chance to visit my home park again, It's a theme-park like no other - Did you get any of the food options on Mardi Gras street???? - Yorkshire pudding wraps were the standout!!!!
We went back the next day and got some Mardi Gras food and that will be out in video of day 2!
Th13teen is also my favourite 👍🏻 Glad you didn’t put yourself through Hex again too haha. I did it once and never again. Sat with bags last time I visited and half my group came off saying they should have sat with me 🤣 British weather has been awful but hopefully it brightens up for the rest of your visit 🙂

1:45…probably the closest you’d get to the mix of gardens and theme park in the USA would be Legoland Florida since it used to be Cypress Gardens

I visit England and stay with my friends that live there and you see so much more than you would without having locals to take you around! And yes, bring warmer clothing even in mid june!!!
