Now to actually fix my the long hauls thigh from my nbk devastator, it’s a lot bigger figure but a wider screw should work, thanks for the video!

Here's the DC collectibles tutorial. Don't buy them. Lol just kidding. But I don't have very many and so far the ones I do have haven't broken.

I just fixed the arm on my kid's superman action figure. I threaded a screw into the broken peg remnant and removed it with pliers rather than drilling it out. Then used a screw to replace the peg just like you did.

Took out my Iron Man 2020 from storage one of the leg just droped fixt it after almost drilled in the hip ball. Thanks for the help

Got super exited as all was going great, got the old peg pieces out, got my screw in without cracking pushed the screw into the old peg hole and was stoked until I saw that last action somehow cracked hip. 2020...

Hey that was great, (i can see why they started to use metric in the uk, 4mm much better 4/32?).
LOL! Yeah, metric is technically easier to compute. Growing up in the states, I have an affinity for the standard American system so I will hang on to it as long as I can for tradition sake. Nearly 300 years later and we're still defying the UK. 'Merica! :-) LOL! Thanks for stopping, glad I could help.

I just picked up black knight from the swap meet and I think the swivel was broken already and just glued on there. I'm gonna try to fix it

Would this fix the looseness on the rotation on my Spider-Man 2 action figure thigh joints its very loose when I rotate it?
If the joint is just loose and not broken I wouldn't do this technique. You could use floor cleaner liquid to tighten is or you could heat up the joint and pull the leg off and stuff a small piece of cotton or paper in the hole and pop the leg back on. that little bit of extra material should help to tighten the leg.
Could you technically make a swivel joint with this method?
That's essentially what you'er doing. It should still swivel with that screw replacing the old peg if you get it done right.
I just bought a black knight from a swap meet for 15 bucks only to have the leg fall off when I put the slightest bit of pressure on the thigh swivel. I think the previous owner just glued it on. I'm gonna try this tomorrow morning!!!! Thank you for this video!!!! Do you think a number 4 size screw would work in my case?
I think a #4 should work. My preference is to use the rounded wood screws rather than the flat head style. If my info is right, the #4 is just shy of 3 mm in diameter which should be sufficient. It really depends on the size of the peg hole that's already there. Measure it up and if the hold is bigger than 2.8mm then you'll need to get a larger screw.

Sadly I do not. Assuming you mean a tutorial on how to resculpt this joint instead of using a screw. Sorry.
will this work for a broken butterfly joint on the recent black suit spiderman figure?
I'm guessing it might not work for a butterfly joint only because of the lack of space for the length of the screw. You could try it, but I don't know. I've been lucky to not have any butterfly joints break on me yet.
thanks. Do you know of any types of glues that would work? I already have it in a pose that I like so I guess I'll just never remove it from the pose.
I'm guessing there wouldn't be any glues that are going to hold it for very long. Without knowing just how much space there is in the joint, I couldn't tell you a good way of fixing it. You'd have to start by taking the entire shoulder apart would be my guess. Wish I was more help.
Can this work for the arms?
I suppose it could if you can find a small enough screw to replace the peg.
What if my figure is hard plastic
Will this work with my Thor Valkyrie figure? Because I tried to pose her to do the Wakanda pose from Black Panther and her arm joint broke.
Is it the shoulder peg that broke? Not sure if that would work for the shoulder, but you could certainly give it a try and see. basically any joint that uses a peg will work with this method unless it's too small and might then be too brittle.
Yeah I don't really know how to fix this and I don't to screw this up. I think it's the shoulder peg?
My spiderman's arm broke do you think this will workin the arm. Its the left joint right below the shoulder joint
+Margarita Diaz if you can find a really small screw to use and a really small drill bit then in theory it should work. I've not had a broken Bicep peg yet so I'm not 100% sure.
I ended up drilling a small hole on each end, sticking piece of metal from a paper clip, a bit of glue and it worked... I was too scared to stick the screw into it. It doesn't move as well as the one you fixed but my son has been playing with it and it hasn't broken again! Thanks for your video!

@@TechChucker I guess, It is connected, but at the thigh area, it has a gap. And if I move it certain ways it commits pop off

Could this fix Wallcrawler's right leg? My wallcrawler's right leg and upper thigh came off.
+Jitsumi if the joint is a peg joint and isn't a super brittle plastic then possibly. I make no guarantees. If the hunt looks similar to the one in my video then I would probably give it a try.

Yes, this is exactly the same figure basically as in my video. Different character, but same body mold. My video actually was linked to in that Reddit post. Try the video out and see. Be careful and sure handed so you don't accidentally drill too far and slowly screw in the screw so you don't crack the plastic, but yeah, my video will address this problem. I can't guarantee you'll pull it off, but I'm guessing if I can do it, you can too! Good luck and let me know if it works for you.
Side note, if you do it all successfully, you should still have full use of the upper thigh cut joint.

There's also another thing I noticed. Our upper thigh has like both a different scenario. I'm just wondering if it'll work for sure. Like, mines doesnt have that extra cylinder shaped part on it anymore. It's in the other part of the leg. But, yours is in the thigh.

If it's the same break in the thigh cut then this method should work perfectly so long as your very careful.

Alternative way use hot boiling water on the leg
But how does that fix a broken joint? That'll loosen a stuck one but this video goes through fixing a broken peg

Picked this exact figure up off the shelf, moved the swivel and it immediately broke off. Lol what?
Yeah, the plastic on this particular figure is terrible. Same with the Vision that came in that 3-pack. Only one that didn't have the plastic issues was the Hulk, and that guy just wasn't all that great of a figure. lol. I scored the 3-pack for $15 which I thought was a pretty good deal.

Just tried it for proxima midnight. Did not work. It just cracked the upper thigh piece.
Sorry to hear that. My fear is that your pilot hole wasn't big enough or the screw was too big. Sometimes if the screw is twisted in too fast that'll do the plastic in. And sometimes the plastic was just bad from the start and that's why it broke in the first place. It always sucks when a figure breaks. I wish it went better for you.
@@TechChucker it's fine. It actually still worked, but in an unexpected way. Since the screw widened the peg it was able to fit just with friction. I can still pull it off but it still takes force to take it off. Its. Not a bad tutorial in anyway,other people's attempts were successful it's just mine wasn't. But it's fine because it all worked out in the end.
Nice i just broke my brand new NECA alien warrior at the arm, on the elbow, i cant drill or disassemble the forearm and i am scared to drill in the biceps !!!
