      I remember watching the video about why you preferred the turbo after install but the whole time you were having tune issues then knocked your motor. I wonder how many followers went out and bought the same turbo because of your video.

    Just watching that guy working around the chassis you can tell he has worked on many of the JK/JL Jeeps. It's like he is doing it without looking, thinking of what comes ahead while his hands are still working on the task at hand. If he is an example of their staff working on vehicles coming in for change overs or any kind of work. They would get some calls.

    Can’t wait to see the “Wild Child” back on the trails! You two have put on so many of the greatest mods you’re making me jealous. You probably built up one of the most badass JLUR’s around. This thing could survive Armageddon! The hardest of the expert trails probably won’t be a challenge for that badass Child. I think they should start building harder trails just for you two and the new and improved Step-Child, and others that modded out their Wranglers close to yours. I’m hoping to be watching the Wild Child on the trails in the very near future!

And I do not get a good enough signal on my cellphone here to play videos! After the first 30 minutes, I was calling my internet provider, and after being on hold for 12 minutes I find out they were aware of the issue and was working on it, And they had the balls to tell me it might not be back up until around noon time! That would have had me up for the rest of the night with steam coming from my ears! But It was only down for like 1-1/2 hours. lmao! Dunno how deep your river crossing are over there but here in OZ we make sure they all end up in the highest part of the engine bay. Even the smallestmcreek crossings here can put water over the bonnet and if you get stuck the water pools around the base of the engine and trans real quick (causes clutch problems if you have a manual).

    Hey guys, looks awesome...we are all jealous. May I trouble you for a couple questions?
    1. So, in regards to airfilters, I see you are going with the open air style. Is this a dry element or oiled? If oiled, why, and do you hate recharging them like most people? Was there an OEM style airbox option (better for heat deflection, water ingestion, and cleanee air, although alightly less airflow)?
    2. Keeping an oil catch can? This was a big deal for you on the 3.6.
    3. Going with the gold/bronze powder coat on the wheels like I mentioned? Wish I could post a picture here, it sounds goofy but you really need to see them.
    Super excited for you guys!!!

    • @LiteBrite
      @LiteBrite  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      J Lincoln Burrows No problems!
      The air filter is dry! I don’t believe there’s an oem style option for this conversion at the moment (at least that we know of). And it’s still a high performance motor, so an oil catch can wouldn’t be a bad idea, however it wouldn’t be needed for the ‘smoking’ issue that you see in the JLs.

    Top 2 questions
    1. What does the conversion cost?
    2. Emissions. How the heck do you get this to pass emissions in Ca? (I know you guys are from Colorado)In most states now, emissions are tough. Can you legitimately get this to pass emissions and what are the costs associated?
    A lot of questions about why Jeep doesn't offer this as a stock option. Jeep has covered this several times --> Not enough room between engine and firewall to safely pass crash tests in a head on collision.

    • @LiteBrite

    Great video guys. Not trying to pry into your financial lives on this engine swap, but when everything is said and done, having a basic price point would be awesone!!! I'm an 8 hour drive to their shop, and would love to get this done sometime in the near future. Thanks.

    Just cut the muffler out n leave it off, who needs it, let that hemi sing 👍💪🇺🇸

    • @Grumpy_old_Boot
      @Grumpy_old_Boot 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It might sing a bit too much for an 8 hour drive on the interstate. 🤣
      Also, some states have a limit on how loud a car/truck/Jeep is allowed to be, and they would want to be able to go everywhere.

      ChevyNglockMan Initially might be awesome, but yeah as many 12 hour drives we make a week, it might be a bit much. Hahaha

    Didn't the FCA engineer who designed the JL say that the Hemi fits but they don't have it as an option because it removes the crumple zones from the front? It looks like it still had plenty of crumple zones even after the Hemi.
