I have had that hootoo tripmate for over a year. It was a must on my 3 day roadtrip made it so much better and lasted 2 days of listening to music and watching movies of my tablet without needing a charge

I'm not a fan of the backlighting on the keyboard because the letters themselves aren"t lit. Being able to see the letters in the dark is the main reason I want backlighting. Well that and it looks f****ing sweet :D
I was recently able to get my hands on the K55. If you don't mind only being limited to picking 1 of 8 colors and don't care that the media keys don't illuminate along with the rest of the keys, then I recommend it. And for a membrane keyboard, it feels really nice to type on.
I 'm not a fan of mechanical keys (I've had few in past), This is great for anyone who wants quiet typing/gaming. It feels great gaming & typing and at $50 price point I recommend it.
Kyle TheTreeKat Not at all. It's the sound that gets pretty annoying especially if you're playing something like skyrim or any other immersive game. It's so loud I sometimes have to switch to my membrane in order to not get headaches.

i have the hootoo charger. it works amazing. my work has terrible wifi! and my work requires me to be connected at all times. i used the hootoo device to remove the cable from my work pc and used a wireless usb card for the pc and im now connected to both. i even used the hootoo to watch movies when going out on the plane or long car ride. put movies on a usb/hdd and you can share up to 5 people. you can even use it to connect to your chromecast at a hotel to watch your videos locally(files in your usb). also same with hotel connections. pay for their dirrct internet and you can use it to share to 5 people. same with the hotel wifi. hotel wifis only limit to one per person but you can use the hoodoo to connect to that instead and it can share the connection. very versatile product. i bought 3 for myself and my relatives.

If you want a decent RGB keyboard for quite cheap, go for the Redragon Kumara RGB. There's no reason to get a membrane keyboard at that price in 2017.
