    @EVERYONE: Just went through a rollercoaster with three Asus TUF cards in the past week - all of them were like a choir of disgruntled mice with that super annoying coil whine. 😩 Finally decided to break up with them and hooked up with the Gigabyte Gaming OC, and let me tell you, it's like a breath of fresh air! 🌬 This new card is so quiet; I can actually hear myself think. No more coil whine, and the fans are like stealth mode. Did all the benchmarks again, and surprise, surprise - Gigabyte holds its own just like the Asus TUF. If you're stuck in coil whine hell, maybe it's time for a switcheroo! 🔄✨

    Hi Devar! I watched (and heard!) your video carefully and I have this question for you (or anyone else who complains about it) - what do you mean by coil whine? I've had graphic cards before, including the Asus Strix 980Ti and 1080Ti, that when working at full power, in addition to the noise of the fans working at full speed, there was a sharp and unpleasant sound (especially with the 980Ti). Is it the squeaking and annoying sound that you sometimes hear on some graphics cards that you mean by coil whine or is it the sound of the wind blowing through the graphics card cooler fins?
    Personally, I didn't hear that high-pitched, nasty sound in your video. I only heard the fans working at higher speeds, a noise that is normal for any fan after a certain speed (in reality, the sound is not even the fan, but the turbulence of the blown air).
    I also have an RTX 4090 (an MSI Gaming Trio) and my graphics card, if it has to work at its maximum capacity, it also makes the same noise I see in this video. The simplest way to solve this problem is to place the side panel on the computer case, as long as you don't force the angle of the graphics card electrical cables any further. In my setup, the noise is so low that I leave the computer case open and it is on the desk, right next to me!
    Moreover, along with my previous RTX 3090, this RTX 4090 is one of the quietest that has ever been through my setup and I am amazed at the "noise" that people make because of the coil whine of the RTX 4090, when it was present in the most old graphics cards and it wasn't talked about as much.

      @letsplayskyrimle9391 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Arya108X Why do you think the GPU is not delivering the full power? I don't know if you know, but with some games that are not so heavy, the GPU can operate at lower frequencies and lower percentage of use, especially if you are using an 60Hz monitor (even at 4K resolution!) and V-Sync is on. Play Cyberpunk 2077 with all the RT options at max, but without any DLSS option active, and you will see even the mighty RTX 4090 struggling to maintain the 60FPS.

      @Let's Play Skyrim LE My setup is: Ryzen 5600x, 32gb 3600mhz, B550 ( bc my old X570 had a burned capacitor). I was thinking of upgrading to a 5800x3d, but i don't know if it is worth having in mind that we have a new generation of cpu that also requires a new motherboard and memory generation.
      There are a few comparisons and benchmarks using 5600x with a 4090, but the few that i watched show better results. I watched a couple of videos tuning using the Nvidia Control Panel.

    • @letsplayskyrimle9391
      @letsplayskyrimle9391 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Arya108X I've also seen videos on TH-cam with values slightly above my system (i7-12700k, on an Asus TUF Z690 motherboard, with DDR4 3600MHz CL 16 memories). Many of these videos are from TH-cam's channels whose seriousness of their numbers is questionable. Some overclock their systems and don't mention it on the video details, and others simply copy or deduce FPS numbers based on videos from other TH-camrs and with that data make fake videos. Others simply don't clearly state all the settings used in the game, and this can greatly influence the results shown.
      As for your Ryzen 5600X, yes, it might bottleneck a bit at 1080p, but at higher resolutions, especially 4K, the difference is usually not much, if any (it always depends on the game you're using). I've also seen videos from big TH-camrs (I think from Hardware Unboxed), where they used the Ryzen 5800X3D. It's an excellent processor for many games, but not for all games! If you want to keep your DDR4 memories, I would advise you to switch to the i7-13700K, with a motherboard that uses DDR4 memories. For the price, this is an excellent processor for everything!
      However, if I were you, I would only do that if I really needed it in a certain game. If the game runs well with your current setup, ignore the videos on TH-cam, just keep playing your game and having fun, and wait for the next generation of processors, as the current Ryzen 7000 and intel 13000 weren't a significant leap over the corresponding previous generations.
      And don't overclock your RTX 4090! I've done some tests with overclocks and, except for Time Spy Extreme, the difference in results is almost none (sometimes even worse!), for a much more noticeable increase in the graphics card temperature, that it only shortens its lifespan. Heat is the worst enemy of graphics cards.
