I say you should get a penny board. Because its main purpose is for cruising and not tricks. the bigger and softer wheels make it easier to go over bumps, rocks and cracks. plus it does look pretty cool :p

The plastic will not break if you drive it over with a car... It has a formula that took 2 years to make. Even though its plastic and weaker than wood its still strong and which is why theyre so expensive sometimes
