      @@sambates9505newer diesels are literally the one thing stopping me from selling my td42 GU..
      I don't want to fork out for a newer diesel with egr and dpf shit let alone an over priced tractor 79.
      If the price of y62s was a little more reasonable I'd be keen. However I think that once the supply side ticks up, new car prices are going to drop like a rock. The used market has already taken a big hit. I'm laughing at all these idiots still trying to flog 200 series for over 100k.

      Probably for the same reason we can’t get a locking diff and the front and rear bumpers that give an appropriate approach and departure angle. Nissan doesn’t want their customer to have it all. I love my interior but wish I had a locking diff and HD control. They offer those features on the Titan and Frontier Pro4x. Makes no sense

    Here in the US, just purchased a ‘22 Armada SL, I absolutely love it. There are some options that the Patrol has, that the Armada does not. We have the 12.3” screen which is amazing, and the cabin looks so much better than this version. I really think Nissan is missing the mark on these, so many more would be sold in the US, if they gave the Armada the Patrol options…the price was the biggest factor for me. Fully optioned, ‘22 with 20k miles for $38k, nothing in the US comes close to the value this brings!

    The rumour mill is saying the Patrol Warrior will cost about 20% more than a Ti, so around $100k! The five new rims and Yokohama tyres alone would be something like $4,000. If they sell a lot of these then I expect a shed-load of factory rims and Bridgestone tyres to hit the market, or maybe they send them back to Japan?

    I live in the US, and I drive a 2011 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X. Something called a "warrior" shouldn't have a luxury interior. My Xterra has the basics, but my Rockford Fosgate sounds system with the subwoofer is booming. If you do a full Titan Swap, it can pretty much go anywhere off-road. Who the heck needs heated seats? If you want a luxury car, get an Infinity, you wimp.

    I really like the external design. Looks better than the LC300 to me.
    But a 5.6L petrol engine as the only option! There is no way that thing will do 11.0L/100 on the highway. My LC300 is rated to do 8.9L/100 in the official test, but real world is more like 11.5L/100 on the highway. So if 11.0L/100 is what they say then it's got to be up around 14 or 15L/100 in real life. And you have to feed it 95 premium fuel.

    • @johncanalese588
      @johncanalese588 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can get 11.5l/100km on the highway in my Y62 Ti! In fact I did a trip from Dubbo to Sydney carrying 4 adults and that was my average consumption.

    • @johncanalese588
      @johncanalese588 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@spudboy1328 As you’d expect, it does 18-20l/100km in city driving. When towing my 2.5T caravan it does about 21-22L/100km at highway speeds but on one trip I had it down to 19.5L/100km. The VK56VD V8 in this vehicle is not old-school pushrod OHV, it’s pretty advanced with 32-valve quadcam continuously variable valve timing & lift which gives it very good torque at low RPM with linear delivery through the range. It’s very smooth and doesn’t run out of puff at high RPM. Sounds glorious too - especially with stainless 3” exhaust fitted.

    No Bullbar!? And a lot of people would be considering this car as a tow vehicle, I find it very odd that Premcar didn’t give it a GVM upgrade like they did with the Navara Warrior. No doubt they’ll be charging a premium for the lift and bigger tyres etc. Parts which will likely end up on a scrap heap for anyone serious about towing and wanting a GVM upgrade… All seems a bit pointless.

  • @trimat2016
    @trimat2016 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    While the Patrol is a great platform, I think Premcar missed the mark with the Warrior. Looks like a pretty cynical badge engineering exercise to me to run out the last Y62's before the new model arrives. I had expected to see a front E-locker as a minimum, and while I wasn't expecting a supercharger, it would have been nice to see the NISMO spec engine tune (315 kw) that's available in other markets. As long as Nissan doesn't get silly on price I'm sure they'll sell. Somewhere between Ti and Ti-L seems about right.

    • @Axel_sms
      @Axel_sms ปีที่แล้ว

      the nismo engine is handmade that would sky rocket the cost

    • @trimat2016
      @trimat2016 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Axel_sms The full Nismo version is only about 12-15% more expensive than the Ti-L in the UAE, so I reckon they could add a front locker and the Nismo engine to what Premcar have done and sell it for 130K and have a real GR Sport killer.

  • @gs6810
    @gs6810 ปีที่แล้ว

    The increase in sales is because it has no real competitor. It's the only full size vehicle that balances off-road capability with on-road comfort at that price point. Land Cruisers are more expensive to the point that they aren't really comparable. Land Rovers selections are less reliable and more expensive, everything else is either smaller or less capable.

    I really want to like it....I love Patrols. But....I honestly would have expected/hoped for a bit more. A couple of steps in the right direction for sure with the suspension upgrade and lift kit - but that's about all you're really paying for here in reality. An aggressive looking front bar would have been great. AT instead of HW tyres is great off the showroom floor but not an additional cost. Red bashplate is definitely worth having. Dewooded interior is nice but then let down by the same crappy screen. Surely it wouldn't have cost much to put in something "newer" than a stock Y62 for the infotainment screen to show that a bit of effort went into upgrading the interior in a place that most people complain about. To me its just a lazy effort to address a couple of areas but not most of them. Are they holding back waiting for the new Y63 model coming next year?

  • @adamhunt318
    @adamhunt318 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Unfortunately not for me disapointed I was expecting a front bar the main reason is I work long hours and I don’t get time to mod a car I would of needed a front bar with suspension to suit so if I buy the warrior and get a bar and winch put in I would proberly need to change the front suspension I needed the front bar and winch ( optional like navara ) so I didn’t need to do anything just buy off the showroom floor and use well onto next plan thanks but no thanks
