this year is my first time on a worlds team and i got the chance to go to NCA. it’s so weird because i used to watch these videos imagining what it would be like to perform on that stage. now i’ve done it and i can say i know the feeling

I’m still in middle school rn and I don’t live in America but I currently am cheering for football and basketball (it depends on the season for which sport my team cheers for. But when I go into high school I will live in America and I’m probably going to try out for an all star team or something like that and this definitely inspires me to join a competitive team ❤️
My team stopped practice so me and my best friend could watch 00 because it’s our dream team and my whole team found and watched you our fav cheerleader!!
I honestly wish that this type of attitude towards other teams was portrayed in “cheer “ movies all the cheer movies out there are teams being rude to other teams but this is what cheer is about. My teams always cheered for other teams like this.
Can someone who cheers tell me if my understanding is wrong? I have no idea, I don't cheer. - Cheer doesn't seem to be what I thought it was, I thought it was about fun, glitter, skill, & unbreakable bonds (but, freak accidents can happen)... Now I'm feeling like I was wrong - seems like cheer is really just various forms of torment, anxiety, various forms of bodily mutilation (stretching, and strains on muscles, soft tissue, joints, and ligaments, ECT), ALL forms of trauma (a jarring experience - which changes you forever afterwards), dissociation, and countless injuries... & Those symptoms just happen to come alongside of shinny trophies, scholarships, mini skirts, flashy uniforms, & encouragement of extreme/alter egos... Can someone who cheers give some insight? (Of course I'm excusing childhood traumas that can lead to hyper-sexualization, that's a bit beyond my degree of knowledge..)
Top Gun has some of the best uniforms in the industry and you cannot tell me otherwise.
