I saw this film.....and love the respectful yet 'not in your face' understated nod to the 400 year history of the Carolinas' families. When 'only in America' stories happen, it is because of not only the where, but also the who, what, when, why and how. Therefore, this film has all contexts covered. A very inspiring, uplifting, nuclear-family oriented must see 2023 film. 5/5 stars.

Perhaps the two most important reviews of this film will be: MJ’s mom and than MJ. For those that remember watching MJ in the NCAA finals and how graceful he was afterward is something we can tell the current and future generation proudly: “Yes indeed, we did get to see the GOAT become the GOAT”.
