I think you got lucky to hit two numbered cards in 6 boxes. I've seen cases ripped and would say average of like 1.3 per 10 boxes. Just didn't get the right cards. Basketball is usually 1 or 2 guys but in a few years you might come back to it and there will be 5-6. Guys need time to develop.
Love the variety my man, keep it up, Donruss Football mega boxes are loaded, best value by far and they guarantee an Auto, also the downtown chase
whoa, switching it up again. i dont follow nba too closely, but i do feel like prizm nba has a higher floor than nfl. my blaster was about the same as yours tho.

Enjoy seeing you branch out and rip some basketball and football boxes! Id give the grade a D you did get 2 #d in 6 boxes which isnt bad considering I saw 2 ripped in an entire 20 box case. The names are tough in this though.

I enjoy basketball cards more than modern football but I'm still a baseball card collector... Something about panini's designs that just always seem the same to me, but I love their refractors and variation there and I'm looking forward to seeing what all topps does when they start producing NFL or NBA
I told myself a year ago that I wasn’t going to buy anymore panini retail. I’ve bought 5 blasters and a mega box of Prizm football 😂 it was fun though and made about half the value back. Ready for baseball season!

When you're chasing ONE guy, in any product, it's so hit or miss that it becomes frustrating to the point you get salty. On the flip side, it gives you a chance to pick up the lesser chased rc's for amazing deals if you buy singles. But, that's always been the case in all cards really. The difference in sports cards is the potential for monetary growth that is exponential.
In the case of Wemby, too early to tell if it's 'buy cases and hold' time. For CJ Stroud, it seems clear we should be setting cases back. But the price!!!

I'm a Giannis collector, but I hard stopped opening Panini products with how infuriating they do things. With Topps, you can get all the main parallels in any box, but Panini retail is always worthless for anything but base cards and unwanted cheap parallels other than the silver. Easy way to light your money on fire. Solid F for those 6 boxes.

I have to be honest, I do not watch rips of football and basketball but since it was Stryker I gave it a shot. I have no idea how to grade as I don't know about basketball cards. I will say you made it as entertaining as it could be.
Card collecting days are goooone. Waste of money these days. The 90’s cards are goat.
lol a few years ago I was getting back into collecting baseball cards and ended up buying a lot of Panini baseball retail stuff before I realized it wasn't fun to open, wasn't fun to collect, wasn't fun to thumb through when flipping through a stack of cards. I decided that because Panini didn't have the MLB license that Panini just didn't give a crap about the product they were putting out. I assumed that the sports Panini had the license to were treated better by the company.
...and then I saw NFL/NBA cards being opened, saw them at the LCS, got some cards as padding with ebay purchases. Literally the same crap as their baseball stuff. Same horrid design philosophy. Same horrid feel. It's astonishing to me that football/basketball collectors just kind of live with this. I think I would have taken up bowling rather than open more Panini.
That was a tough break, Stryker. I sort of expect retail boxes to not have anything of value. Granted, I have bought any sports cards in 20 years, so, I don't really know what I'm talking about. Either way, tough break....I wouldn't be mad at you, if this was your last Basketball break for a while. It's kind of crappy with Prizm, that you have retired players in there because then, you're odds of hitting on something modern, have been greatly dwindled. Sure, It's kind of cool that you pulled a Jason Williams card in 2023-2024 but at the price, you payed, I'd want something a little better than nobody rookies and retired players.

Ouch!!! Luck of the draw, the right players just weren't there!!! I didn't see one base Wemby out of six boxes. Quality control...as expected. Those parallels do look nice though!!!

Prizm retail is better for basketball this year,,but usually Panini football is better as far as retail,,if you can find donruss football mega boxes they are a great value 45$ a guaranteed auto and each pack has a optic preview mostly pink optics I think 2 blue scopes and there is holos as well,,,it's just fun and your pulling value while hunting for downtowns , crunch times as well but they are not very valuable unless numbered,, mosaic football retail is great also,,,I pulled a josh Allen stained glass sold it for 300$ but you can pull genisis parallel s,honeycombs parallels,stained glass,razzle dazzle & kalenscopic case hits I've pulled all but the last 2 on about 7 blaster this year

@@Jtevkicksandcards I just saw this no BS I pulled josh Allen stained glass,dak national pride honeycomb & a joey bosa Genesis,,,last year I pulled Elijah Mitchel, jermmar Jefferson & Jalen hurts nfc genesis, dalvin cook stained glass and a trevon diggs rc scripts auto,,I will admitt me and my boy joke about how mosaic football is my lucky pot of gold,,so maybe I'm super lucky

Panini retail is typically really rough. There are almost no "hits" beyond the non-numbered parallels. Feels like a worse version of 2023 Topps Series 1 blasters.

Prizm football and basketball are just miserable products to rip. I get that the ceiling on the big hits can be insanely high, but the contents of the boxes (be it retail or hobby) tends to be really poor with very few numbered cards or hits in a box, and ridiculously bloated checklists with tons of little-to-no value vets, and an extremely high price tag to match. If you get back 10% of the value in cards for what you spent on the box, that's an average-to-good box. For basketball, Donruss Optic has usually been the one I enjoyed -- the 2022-23 boxes started at $240 (before resellers caught on) I think with 2 autos and a decent number of numbered parallels per box.

Need to buy a Microtech out the front for your blade opening box brother. Get you a Ultratech. They might even be able to do a custom for you.

Yeah, Anything Panini is super tough. I’m super surprised you got numbered cards.. I opened many many blasters of 2021-2022 and got nothing. So never again.
With basketball like the 2020 class took awhile to develop
The Banchero Cracked Ice and Luka Global Reach are honestly the best cards out of this entire rip. Maybe down the road some of those rookies will be worth something, but like I said on the football rip, Panini is garbage. Wemby is litteraly the only rookie worth a damn right now outside of super low numbered cards, and you can't pull his autograph in anything that isn't a Topps/Fanatics property. Panini has no Wemby auto cards. The hyped #2 rookie (#3 draft pick) in the class Scoot Henderson just had the 2nd worst +/- for a game of all time. Brandon Miller, the #2 pick in the draft, has been underwhelming on a team that's now 8 and 29. If you're not pulling a Wemby parallel or a numbered parallel superstar like Luka, Steph or LeBum this year, it's a bust box.
Man those were rough! I think the promise is there if you hit. But it's tough!

enjoyed the video but again Modern Panini Produts are hard to stomach! the sets are way to big (Too many non-collectible players and to many rookies when most are out the league, D-league or overseas within a few years) and most importantly to many unecessary parallels. Opening 6 boxes and no Wemby or auto is rough
No Wembys , but it definitely feels better than the football with numbered cards but Ben Simmons not gonna get it done ..I love Jaime Jacques he’s gonna be an all star soon …yeah why they have to put so many vets in there ..,too water down the checklist and make it harder to hit ..still cool to see you rip something different every now and again ..if you had hit a Wemby Ice thou would of made that rip 🔥

Basketball retail is always the worst to opening from my experience. I’ve opened a ton these past few years and haven’t pulled anything of value really.

Man, I won’t open these if they aren’t on retail shelves. The resale of these blasters is too high just to chase a base rookie printed in the thousands
Paninis value is boom or bust with anything non baseball (i dont even consider baseball due to non licensing, its as good as post cereal cards), i like prism, but they shaft people hard in retail, too few booms too many busts

Hey Stryker, that was brutal. Panini sucks at the checklist game, especially at the price point. If they cut it down it may justify it more. The inserts are nice but again don't seem to be relative to the players performance. More like "oh he would look cool with a parrallel. Baseball seems to hold it's value overall and I have actually heard some football collectors say they may transition some of their football to baseball because of that. Topps is and always has been superior, even there no baseball stuff was cool when I collected back in the day.

Like all Prizm releases, I’m sure this’ll have a checklist of at least 350 players. Hence the massive amount of veteran base. Like I mentioned with the NFL boxes too, it’s FOTL or GTFO if you’re looking for actual return.

I make around $10,000 a year profit on eBay ripping sealed and selling singles. Make money on this product ever single year. So yes it can be done and I do it every year 😂

F grade. I found 3 boxes at my Walmart last week and did 2 videos. Got nothing also. Not a fan of the product. Might as well just buy the Wemby card and not open any boxes.

F on prizm. It seems to me like most of the Panini products return very little in the way of value, and excitement. Sure there can be big hits, but they are few and far between. Plus the cards just look cheap.

If you didn’t like the football ones your deff not gonna like the basketball either. Prizm sticks to the exact same design. Plain boring. Only ones that look awesome are the Cracked Ice cards.

The video I liked, but this product sucks and isn't worth the money way too many QC problems and way to expensive. The price would have to come way down before I was to purchase it.
