As an African and a Ghanaian , this is scripted .
I would wish they could portray a lot of positivity than all these negativity.
Positivity like what? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ben Asamoah did it for money because negative contents about Africa is what VICE wants. All the people in the video are clearly acting and whatever they said was scripted.
@@nyc_troll413 There are many positive videos on youtube about Africa that is neither scripted nor an act. And they don't travel all the way to some remote area of Ghana to shoot it.
@@vervetech9395 so what about all the documentaries about drug addicts in the Western World?
I guess they also have an agenda to show negative aspects of Europe and USA?
But you will not admit that. You are being biased.
Was this staged or shot with hidden cameras. I don't really get it.
Man that one guy trying to do the girl voice make me cringe every time! The magic voice was only 15 euros , he should of went that direction lol
i actually found his voice more convincimg
15 euros is approximately 110 cedis. These guys don't have that money to "waste"
😂😂
It was funny

His pretend of being a girl weak me.
This was a brilliant watch!!!
It must be very conflicting to be a Christian and still partake in Witchcraft.. Hmm
it's called traditional practises not witch craft ... I guess it's better because it's our root n we practise it
Best documentary about sakawa
Only 40 minutes in but this is a fantastic documentary. The way you captured the environment, the people, conversations really left an impression on me. I hope this gets pushed in the algorithm!
Sure, in about 10 years.

Very good story production. I'm in Ghana and this is an eyeopener

This was so well done. So informative. I love Vice’s programming. I want to go to Mother Africa, one day. I want to see Sakawa in action.I want to visit the slums, brothels, churches and villages. Until then I will visit through Vice. Thank you. Job well done

@@itsbeyondme5560 yes. When you compare it to other West African countries it is. I never felt unsafe there, just annoyed with over charging Black Americans
I wish the Vice host had asked about the passport scenes. Was that also a scam?
Well, in Ghana if you don't go through the proper channels, you are likely to get scammed. The passport scene wasn't the right procedure.
@@junejuly532 nobody knows. Probably was a scam or maybe it wasn’t . Last thing don’t believe everything u see

Fantastic Documentary
What a wonderful and stunningly beautiful piece of work. The insights here, coupled with a couple of months in Senegal some years ago, show how dire the situation for many young Africans can be. Right now, I'm involved with one who sends images I know to have been lifted from a mega rich international porn actress. I've known for a week and, when I what I know, it will be with understanding - and a few dollars too.
Wow! That conversation @ 15:00 is wild.... just wow!!!😶😶🤣
Nice documentary. But i disagree with your statement about if "you didn't go to Europe you would have been part of this SAKAWA" You also made a statement of the boys and girls engaging in this act. Point of correction NOT every youth in Ghana is involved in SAKAWA, most of them are are doing the hard work and studying to achieve a better life. Is just a minority who has a quick money intentions. This is the same mistake MOESHA did on CNN when interviewed. Do not generalise ALWAYS use the word SOME!
Really well made documentary!
