Great to see Duke! I spent a couple of summers there & later wound up working for a firm near there. Reminds me of the better aspects of being a law student. Glad you had fun!
ah thank you for saying that!! i'm still learning a lot about editing and making videos, so i'm really thankful to you for coming along for the ride. and more law videos to come!
Did you really have an entire ad about how platforms are being taken 'a step backwards' because the Constitution insists on freedom of speech and platforms can't demonitize it? Your parents must be so proud of you.
Yep, it’s pretty dense the fact that she finds herself in America promoting her former county’s belief system. Hypocritical. She should definitely go back to her homeland considering she doesn’t want to fight for what our ancestors have fought for since before 1776.
@@CeceXie Can you clarify? Because you kind of sidestepped it, while your original ad definitely felt like it was framing free speech being applied in more places as a bad thing.
There is a long body of case law from courts holding that private (i.e., non-government) entities can largely do whatever they want on their own property (digital or physical). If the Supreme Court upholds the Florida and Texas statutes, then that will be a reversal of many precedents on this issue--that would be "a step back" from the current rule. A step back isn't inherently negative or positive; it's just a step back.
omg I’m a Duke law student and it was so surreal to see this come up in my feed! Glad you enjoyed the visit :)
it looks like such a beautiful place to study law for a few years-hope you’re enjoying it! xx

no--i had an ad about how the state statutes are "a step back" from the fairly well-settled rule. there's a big difference.

Please actually listen to what I say before coming here with such xenophobic rhetoric.
Cecee 😃
hi! thanks for watching!
I guess if your goal is big law and not clerking on the supreme Court, its best to go to the best law school for least amount of $$$$$
balanced against the grade cut-offs that biglaw firms have for the school, if any!
