    I love that Chuckie pauses to tells us different locations and places that don’t exist anymore. He does it on all of his platforms and it helps some of us who aren’t from that side of the pond.

    True or correct?...The way these man have progressed with their own individual podcasts and are able to sit down and have a conversation as grown men is such a G ting to do. This puts to the bed that Black People can't come together and support eachother.

      I feel like this idea of black people cant do this or the black community doesnt do x,y or z is something that society has pushed onto the black community. Whether they support their own isn’t an issue that persists only in one ethnic group, it’s the same across all of them. It’s more a case of people just being shit, rather then the colour of our skin. It just social media perpetuating bullshit for engagement.

      I grew up in the East Midlands... in a black area in Nottingham...to me what they said in this vid sounds a lot like my childhood ...but Im a black woman 'from ends', if you're not black or from a v black-dominated place you might not be able to relate.

    • @rows7661
      @rows7661 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      thehoneyeffect what area in Nottingham are you from? If you don’t mind me asking. Considering moving down there from London, would like to know where the diverse areas are.

    • @jimthecaptainsmate3542
      @jimthecaptainsmate3542 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's nothing new. Great Britain has always been divided with local customs and boundaries.....its been that way for millennia. Of course these days MSM try to play it up as 'divisive' and non inclusive when in fact it's the opposite. For example go to Newcastle from Sussex...totally different culture yet the Geordies are some of the most welcoming people to outsiders.

    great link up..
    My first primary school was predominantly white, I had lots of friends and lots of abuse. we minorities gravitated towards each other and always had each others back regardless of the area we lived, Age and family origin e.g jamaica, Nigeria, Somalia, India etc. I then went to a next school with a more equal mix and felt so much more confident in my self as I realised that there were many of us and that I wasn't "different" .. As a grown man I'm glad to have experienced both environments as I can understand that some people are prejudice as a result of the environment they grew in, not necessarily their core beliefs.
    I wish I could stick these younger back in my white school so they can learn that we're stronger together and stop warring each other.. Us of our generation did so much to level the playing field just for these youngers to turn on each other..

    1:04:34 Its not just about misunderstanding... racism is a system of advantage based on race which privileges white people and disadvantages everyone else. Racism isnt just namecalling any other random race, systemic racism white supremacy is baked into the system. Ignorance can still be racism... you can be nice and racist... you can be hostile and racist etc
    *Intent vs impact: it doesn't matter about intent if the outcome is racism*
    Racial prejudice + Power/System = Racism

    This is why Grime is greater than Road Rap and UK Drill combined. The unity from UK Garage continued and then ended with Grime. The same unity came from Jungle and DnB into those genres and eventhough alot of shootings and stabbings were happening in the 2000's, majority of the roughest areas in London still wasn't extremely terrible during that decade.
