As for the very beginning, if you mean the voice over that starts then, that is also from 1x05, his last conversation with Laurel; if you mean the first video clip of Oliver in the life raft with his father, that is a flashback from 1x01.

At the time of the OP's and my comments, Slade Wilson had not yet been introduced and nor had the person behind the mask been revealed as Billy Wintergreen, so the assumption among viewers at the time was that the torturer was Deathstroke. We all got the full backstory in the episodes that followed.
What a beautiful video, made professionally but also with heart and soul. CW should use it as official trailer. It gives a glimpse into Oliver's damaged soul. Stephen Amell's delivery of those lines wrenches your heart. He is Oliver. Thank you. I'll be coming back to this again and again.

This is amazing, and this song allows for so much emotional impact; where did you find this song? Overall, the flow of the scenes the strength and force behind them moving forward paces the video brilliantly and sends chills down my spine. Definitely one of the best Arrow videos that I have seen!
