Some years ago, a music exec (they've never revealed which record label) once told them he would have them playing in front of audiences of 12,000 people in no time. All they had to do to get the contract was to drop the Rock and Roll thing and switch to pop music. A young Paulina immediately responded, "We'd rather play our music in front of 12 people than play music that isn't us in front of 12,000." End of discussion.
Yup as I read it he said " would you rather play for 12 people or 12000?" And that's when DPA said " if we can play our music for 12 people we will be happy" or words to that effect.
That’s exactly right. It’s their story that is so captivating. Of course the music is fantastic or we’d never have stuck around for the story. But it’s the story & them as humans that creates the fans unbreakable connection.
What a great guy Bugs is. So nice to see him take time to hang with the Sisters and offer up career advice. Pretty sure the girls did follow a lot of the advice he offered, love of what they do and love of family and their fans as well. They are a very unique Rock band for sure. Thanks guys.
Please be aware. During their independent era, The Warning would upload videos like these up on Patreon for a year. Before uploading them on TH-cam. Looking at their hairstyle. Bugs visit was around the release of XXI Century Blood album. Making it 2017.
DPA have been guided in the best way! Check out TWs performance of Show Me The Light at Dakota Bar about 5 years ago especially Dany’s solo. It is so beautiful and tasteful. Her guitar skills are so underrated. Thanks guys!
@@glennandadriansrocktalk That’s the one, I hadn’t seen your review of this concert but just finished watching it and thoroughly enjoyed yours and Adrian’s comments. There are a couple of notes Dany hits on that solo that are so delicate and sublime!
I went to see los Lobos at Humphrey's by the bay here in San Diego some years back and when they were playing some of the people got up and started dancing and security went to try to get them back to their seats but los Los daid let them dance. Los lobos can rock out. You guys should check out some of their music. They have appeared at Eric Clapton guitar festival among others.
I wonder what Bugs is thinking now, and if he has followed their career up to now. Maybe we'll see him pop up in another behind the scenes or after movie when they play next in their hometown of Monterrey.
it's probably the most documented band ever

I love that he warned them about the unsavory types in the business.

Bugs: "All that matters is love and happiness"
The Warning has truck loads of that....:)
