- ET revisits Tupac Shakur's legendary music career and the late rapper's passion for acting. In rare interviews, Tupac opens up about his portrayal in the media as his personal struggles played out in the spotlight. Following his role opposite Janet Jackson in John Singleton's 'Poetic Justice,' he shared how acting in movies influenced his hip hop career, and vice-versa. At 25 years old, he died on Sept. 13, 1996.

This young man taught me everything I know about the streets, everything I know about loving my mother and the difficulties we face because we don't have money, he set my dream on fire, I'm from São Paulo, Brazil, and music he's been hitting hard here for over 30 years, everyone knows 2pac in Brazil, people listen in the car, on the cell phone, there's graffiti of him all over the country, we love this master of the ghetto.
