  • ET revisits Tupac Shakur's legendary music career and the late rapper's passion for acting. In rare interviews, Tupac opens up about his portrayal in the media as his personal struggles played out in the spotlight. Following his role opposite Janet Jackson in John Singleton's 'Poetic Justice,' he shared how acting in movies influenced his hip hop career, and vice-versa. At 25 years old, he died on Sept. 13, 1996.

    The most rare human being in history. We still have none close to this guy. From the looks, the talent, to the intellect and charm. He was the perfect storm of magnetic charisma

    The fact that people say tupac was ahead of his time show how far back we have gone. Having said that, tupac dying was like the collapse of Rome in hip hop. RIP makaveli the Don

    This young man taught me everything I know about the streets, everything I know about loving my mother and the difficulties we face because we don't have money, he set my dream on fire, I'm from São Paulo, Brazil, and music he's been hitting hard here for over 30 years, everyone knows 2pac in Brazil, people listen in the car, on the cell phone, there's graffiti of him all over the country, we love this master of the ghetto.
