I was watching the movie The King's Men last night, and at one point, I was like: "The Wonton Don just told a story similar to this recently?" Had to come back and confirm
Thank you for making content that's entertaining but also educates people on things we should all know and appreciate. You really are outstanding in your field and I think possibly the best content at Barstool... Just saying....
Fun story, I live in Sarajevo and 2 years ago on the first of May I went skiing around Sarajevo and the next day had a swim at the sea side which is 3 hours away.
Bosnia is a very complex and beautiful country. Our culture is amazing, nature is phenomenal, so is food and hospitality, but our country is very much still war-torn from the '90s, and a lot of historical hatred between Bosniaks (Muslims), Croats, and Serbs, and the economy isn't great. Thanks so much for showing people Bosnia, which people seem to just skip over. I'm personally part of the Bosnian diaspora, my dad fled the war from Mostar and came to London, UK, where I was born and currently reside. Please visit Bosnia, you will be blown away!!
@@allmapasic5620 You shouldn't hold a grudge against someone who escaped the war and didn't fight. People have their own personal reasons. My uncle fought and his whole life is fucked up now, he nearly died. Now he has mental problems. Is it really worth it?
You met Dubioza Kolektiv, nooo wayyy lmaooo *EPIC* !!!! As a Hungarian/Serb who grew up in Yugoslavia/Vojvodina, I totally get when they say "the politicians get all the potatoes." Politics have divided us all.... and not just in the Balkans. Cheers.
Zeljo is the nickname of Zeljeznicar FC one of the biggest teams in Bosnia, the derby is versus Sarajevo FC. Dubioza Kolektiv are great man, I had tickets to see them here in Germany and then the Fuckdemia happened. What a dream trip you're doing man!
@@hernan5940 because they make money of misery I understand making some songs about it but it gets pretty old hearing the same complaints over and over again with the same background music etc... Not for me mate...
@@PlaviStrumf Well, shame. I love them and I can relate to certain topics and the music is varied. BTW I come from Argentina, not that make a difference, neither being Bosnian does.
90 in a 80 is not a fine in Bosnia. We have a tolerance of 11 over. So you’d only get fined if you were driving 92. Also, it’s a 40KM fine, not 50 for going up to 20km/h over. Also never seen undercover police in an old Astra. Either way, you unfortunately got scammed.
This channel is pure gold, especially videos where you connect with people from Balkan. It is always interesting to see western culture mixed with ours. I've enjoyed in every second of your videos!
11:12, No! I was born in Zagreb, back in 1964. and when I was a kid my mom would sometimes bring home pineapple. I believe it was expensive but you could buy it in Zagreb. Zagreb (and most likely Ljubljana) was another planet from other cities in jugoslavija.
Sarajevo doesn't have wild horses. Only 3 places in the world have wild horses . and they are : Iceland , Mongolian and a town called Livno also located in BiH , and even those wild horses are coming from farm horses that were released into wild after cca ww2 since mechanic machines came into country so there was not much of a use from horses anymore .
History lessons, bobsled tracks, wild horses, meat logs, Bosnian rock bands, this episode has it all!
Can’t beat a good meat log
DAWNY the SAVAGIE PAWPPY
Meat logs is what lifes all about.
Donnie this is awesome man! I love the series can’t wait till next week!!

There's nothing I enjoy more then Donnie on a Wednesday
Yea after a month off smh
Ah yes bribing the police, the full Bosnia experience 😂

Donnie you’re making Bosnia shine! Thanks for this broski!

Remembering old things and learning new. Thanks once again Donnie, for giving us some perspective outside of our bubbles.

6:59 Did I just hear 'Zel-Jo'? 😂 Man, you cracked me up big-time. It's 'Jell-Oh'. It's pretty good but surely not the best in the world.
Cant believe you hung out with Dubioza man, this is like a dream come true for me. Hope you liked the Balkans Donny.
I heard about Dubioza kolektiv because they made a track about Jusuf Nurkic on the Trail Blazers and all the Portland fans were playing it.
