Thank you so much bro. It should only get better from here. I just almost fully rebuilt the editing computer it's solid state now high ram. Super scootchum 🤣 I have also picked up some cool projects for the future and got some good stuff recorded last summer. 🎸🤠👍
@@heavymetalATC You’ve got me off my butt and expirmenting. My jazz bass now has a P90 guitar pickup as a “middle”, and just this week, a guitar humbucker as the “neck” PU. No problems with pole spacing! Next up, putting an electret microphone inside the body. I found cheap little pcbs with preamp and mic cheap on a-zon. I want the sound you get when pressing an ear to the body. Probably not practical, but I want to know for myself. Not interested in Piezo at this time. Can’t wait for your next video!
Alaric Thank you so much for all the support and interest you have shown on this channel in the past years. You are a staple of the whole deal at this point. Really bro, thank you. Ah I also watched a documentary or movie a while back and it mentioned a king named Alaric. Apparently it means ruler of everyone in ancient Germanic 👑💪
Oh hell yes! This is a bad ass channel. I’ve only recently been recommended this and am hooked! I’ve been binge watching the hell out of it. Thanks for the awesome content.Keep it real and keep it steady bud. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you so much Killovision. I am glad you dig the vids. I got a bunch pre recorded last year and I just upgraded my editing computer and picked up some new projects . Big ones 😉 it should be pretty lively around here soon.
Thank you so much for watching Bob. When I first started to mark out the body I traced a tele and modded the shape from there. So you pretty much nailed it 100%
i was not around when you started this project but i’ve caught up and glad to see it’s getting finished! i’m gonna make some pickups someday thanks to you 🤙
Nothing gets me amped like new beautiful bean footage! But for real, I appreciate your videos for making guitar building/tinkering much more approachable. Lots of people probably get paralyzed by all the options when it comes to guitar and you give the impression that "don't worry, it'll be alright. Try it. If it makes music, great. If not, it's fixable". Thank you!!!
Thanks for coming back to this project. It's looking great. You should try Tru Oil gun stock finish on the back of the neck for your next guitar. I've found it to be just about the perfect finish for guitar necks.
Thank you for watching GR. I figured it wasn't right to start showing new builds without finishing the first one. Great tip... I really should try some truoil. 👍
Thank you so much for the interest and participation Aloith. I'm ready to get it tuned in razor sharp and see what it's really like. I will most likely end up putting some foam under the pickups as they need to come up quite a bit.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment Sam. I think it's gonna really talk once it gets setup proper and run into some reverb springs and hot glass bottles.
Thank you so much Patrick. I'll admit I have been dumbfounded by the similarly at several different occasions along the way. Nope no dots, without those side markers it might as well be fretless for me, no way I could slide up to 14th for a lead run without some kinda markers.
This kind of reminds me of that solid body guitar that Merle Travis had before Leo Fender put out the first production solidbody guitar. BTW, where did you go to school? MIT? NAS Memphis? This has become one of my favorite channels, the educational value of all this is unreal.
Great job there Clementine. With this pickup setup you have a lot of options for tone control and that could give a unique sound, like no other guitar. Very curious on how she will sounds in the end. Greetings from Belgium.
Thank you so much germona. Yes it could be wired any number of ways. Bass and treble blend or series parallel switched... Im sure I will try many combinations in the future but for now I think I'll just humbuck the bridge pickups and put them and the p90 on master volumes with a Les Paul switch and no tone control to get it going. I do predict push pulls and toggles coming to the party eventually.
Thank you ash. Yeah, that's the way. I'll wire a breaker box rebuild an engine, roof a building. Whatever I can do myself? Got some pretty cool projects planned around the corner maybe not 5 years 🤣
I love how it looks! I wasn't here when this project started, but I'm excited for it now! :) Aren't the pickups a bit low like far away from the strings or is that intentional?
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment zloboslav.. hey are you Slav? My wife is half Polish and she's 8 months pregnant about to pop we are gonna to have us a little squatter on deck. I'f someone was to ask what race is that child? The answer is YES. 🤣🤣🤣 Oh yeah, those pickups are gonna be coming way up probably with foam under and the strings way down. I really don't have to get them super close as they are neodymium and very strong but they definitely ain't high enough now.

Thank you so much ilemraz. I'm using a cannon iOS T3 with a modern manual lense on the long distance shots and the beauty shots and camera B and close-up macro stuff is newer smartphones. In the past I was either shooting everything on a 20 dollar phone or doing all the macro with cannon and 60s lenses which can look really great but it has to have the perfect lighting. I plan on getting more lights in that shop in the future to use antique SLR lenses again and it should improve even more... Maybe even a better camera A and switch the T3 to camera B?
@@heavymetalATC thats really cool man. by the way, can i ask for you to do this experiment ive been thinking about? what if you shaved down a ceramic bar magnet of a stock pickup to make the magnet weaker? i wondered if you could produce a more alnico-like tone since alnico magnets are already weaker to begin with
Thank you so much for watching Tony. It must've got caught up from some word combination or something? I'll see if it's held back for review. You been kicking it here for a long while, thanks for sticking around and for all the support.
