As a Marine Biology student and a STAY I am so so proud that Stray Kids and JYP are helping and spreading the word in this fight!!! Now I’m hoping to see them practice what they preach in their content, less plastics and more reusable stuff!

That's what I have always tought about people on the "top" part of sociaty. Excessive amount of consumption, be it clothes, games, cars, everyday objects, etc. Also companies, and how the dump waste on the ocean with out repercution, or how the ones that advocate the most for it own private plains (ex. Leo Dicaprio). It's mind blowing to me. Also how companies make objects to last less time for you to buy more and them still sell, all the while "advocating" for the climate change. Still love Stray Kids, just wanted to get it out of my chest haha
@@FightAndWin I totally understand and agree with you! I know it must be hard in such a fast paced career, but I hope they'll think about it and try their best, and I hope that I and stays can all try our best to reduce our plastic waste and carbon footprint as well!
Actually JYP entertainment is working on a way to stop selling CD’s in the up coming future, is a project they’re working on and trying to see how they can replace the cds on the albums so we can still buy their music but without buying cds with too much plastic that is just going to waste in the future. Their company is very eco friendly and have been working on not using plastics for many years now.
@@angieschubert Yes, I saw that Yesterday. I'm happy for that, still belive in the things I wrote above tho.
I did some research about ocean pollution, plastic, as well as the fishing and marine industry for a project last year. Haven't eaten fish that isn't self caught, or from a local river ever since.
It's great seeing Stray Kids speak out about this and using their platform.
They are really inspiring, it's good that there are artists like that.
Let's continue to support them, each other and protect our planet.

@@karmaakabane1457 о загрязнении океана пластиком, как важно говорить об этой проблеме (привели много фактов о загрязнении и как это вредит планете) и что в Пусане пройдет 7-я международная конференция по борьбе с пластиком в океане. В общем, напомнили, что планета умирает от наших рук и пора уже взяться за голову.
@@karmaakabane1457 если вкратце, то в сентябре в Корее будет конвенция по поводу использования пластика и загрязнения им мирового океана. И ребята просят поддержать это, а также начать с себя и использовать меньше пластика для спасения океана.

I love this message from them. Plastic is so devastating in our natural environment. We should reuse and recycle, but we also need to rethink our purchases as well. Lots of things come in ways that don't include plastic, let's purchase wisely.

As someone who's interested in marine ecology and environment I'm so so happy to see skz raising awareness about how the marine ecosystems are being affected by plastics :(( let's save our oceans every little step can make a big difference if we collectively put in little efforts 🥺
The more videos I see on JYP and his artists wanting to take action in this kind of stuff, the more I wanna work there when I'm old enough. ❤️
This is making me proud of myself... Just few days ago I went to medical store to buy a medicines and they gave me my meds in plastic bag but I refused as always and said that I don't need it, they were surprised and smiled at me and said "only if people start thinking and doing good stuff like this by themselves" I told them "if educated people like us won't do anything then who's gonna do it." "...Society do not get harmed because of people doing bad stuff, it gets harmed because of people who can do good but they don't..." I am a medical student and Ik what plastic can do to your health. So don't use plastic if you don't want to live plastic life.

This is such an important message you guys. The changes we make in our daily lives to use less plastic are easier than we think. If you use straws, change them for either biodegradable ones, or buy ones you can reuse, such as metal, bamboo, silicone, or even recycled reusable plastic ones. If you use plastic or even styrofoam tumblers (cups) change them for the same materials I mentioned for the straws. And instead of using plastic bags from the store, use tote bags made of canvas, or cotton, or any reusable material. You have no idea how many bags just accumulate over time from grocery shopping alone, and many of these end up finding their way in the ocean. Also, same goes for plastic utensils like spoons, forks and knives! If you can buy yourselves a small set to carry around in your purse, you’re good to go. I have 2 sets, one is wood and the other metal, and I put my chopsticks in them as well.
