Ahh, i really like leaves, ( i love trees ) Its great how you composed and created the image using cut out leaves. That's a great idea . Nice delicate shading from you brought them to life. Loved the color you added with pencils and also an airbrush ! Excellent artwork here Brenda, i really enjoyed seeing you create it.. Big like for you QOP :))
Oh dear...I am just starting out in my pyrography journey and haven’t even got my brand new Razertip out of of the box, now I want an air brush for adding slight colour to some projects. I already have Daniel Smith watercolor tube paints and I understand they would work great in an air brush.
Hi Dawn, If you have invested in paints of that quality, then don't waste them by using them as airbrush pigment. Instead I'd recommend coating the board with transparent watercolor grounds. It creates a surface that is similar to watercolor paper. Then you can apply the color via a paintbrush. This would be cheaper than purchasing an airbrush and a lot less work. You do what inspires you. I hate paintbrushes...a lot. Plus I'm not overly fond of painting, so I avoid it as much as humanly possible. If you like the paint, and it sounds like you do, then paint. I do think that painting would be a lot easier and you could create a lot more interesting effects that you'd be able to create with an airbrush. Plus watercolor grounds are a lot cheaper than an airbrush! I hope that you will come to enjoy pyrography as much as I do!
