Never knew we were able to grow figs in our side of Europe.....! Thanks for this. Hopefully one day you can teach us, what plants need, as in balanced nutrition. How do you know what to mix in the soil? And what are easy ways to provide in nutrition (composting/i tried banana peel left in water for a day for potassium water, etc etc).
No worries. As far as what to mix in the soil, the basic main elements are Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorus. Phosphorus is good for fruit production, for leafy plants nitrogen promotes leafy growth and Potassium promotes roots for root veg, so depending what your after you choose amendments accordingly. Rock dust which I used in the video lacks nitrogen, but has the other two elements in abundance, aswell as other minerals on the periodic table. That’s a whole other world to explore and how they benefit plants but the basics are knowing about NPK (nitrogen, Phosphorus and potassium).
