HOME is the story of a young man grappling with his past in care when he's faced with life-changing responsibility. It covers themes of childhood trauma, foster care, loneliness, social injustice and identity.
When Jaden discovers his girlfriend, Faye, is pregnant, his first instinct is to do what he has always done. Run. While on the run he relives his traumatic childhood with his alcoholic mum, separation from his brother and the multiple times he was re-homed. The idea of bringing up a child takes Jaden all the way through his childhood. In delving back into his past, he must decide whether he can break the cycle in the present and be there for his own child.
