Equal mass with a center of gravity at least 6 inches lower than his opponents. Pretty potent combo. He almost doesn't even need to bend at the knee for some of his techniques.

He makes the heavy weight division look interesting. For some reason back then when heavy weights was 95 kg and over, I weighed exactly 95 kg And could not drop 2 pounds no matter what to go into the lower division which forced me to fight monster judoka. I was the smallest and lightest at the national, International and world games always. Many of those guys had no major techniques except for a few but their strength was way to much for a lightweight in that division at times. I did well in the Nationals but Internationals and world I never could get into the top 3.
First of all judo is a sport were short people have an advantage, their positioning is faster and since they don't have to lower their hips before going in, their throws are way less telegraphed. That said, he chains adapts and counters throws with amazing ease and fluidity, awesome judo!
