    Excellent. This really helped me. Please could you do a video on compression?

      @@Ponchy oh awesome! Sorry, I'm a new subscriber and hadn't seen this. Loving your tutorials dude. I'll go looking for the performance video next as every other tutorial video on how to acces the performance mode has made zero sense to me. Thanks again :)

    just wanted to say that applying compression on each individual track is not the same as buss compression since the loudest sound will have the most effect on the compressor and thus have the most effect on all sounds. sorry if this is corrected in your compression video, but i felt it needed to be clarified.

      No prob and I totally agree. It does depend greatly on the compressor settings however, especially the threshold. If you were to copy/paste the same compressor with the same settings across every track with a high threshold, not every track would trigger the compressor because not every track would hit the threshold. I agree with what you said but it just depends on the compressor settings.

    Hi, i really don't understand why i can't compress the kick individually without a connected daw. Is the basic in a professional music production process the ability to compress drum parts individually.
    Are u sure such a bug Into this Maschine ?

      Hey Massimo! In the video I talk about the sidechain compression and how you can just compress the low end so using that you would be able to achieve kick-only compression however there is no way to compress each pad individually as the compressor is a master effect.

    Very helpful. You missed master lfo, which I don't fully understand. ✌️

      Yeah I mentioned in the vid how I wouldn’t be going over the LFO and that I would do it in a future vid so keep an eye out for that.

    Sorry mate, it's not my intent to contradict you but - "there is no actual master track" - there is. Every device has its source and routing, therefore, master bus/track and the output. On AR Master track is the signal path that combines all outputs , master effects, reverb and delay. Architecture of AR allows to detach a track from AR master bus/track and route it separately (which happens by default if you plug a cable into one of the track outputs). In the settings section, it is also possible to re-route tracks from master bus to separate tracks, bypassing compressor and distortion. As for the effects, they can be pre and post distortion, and they can also be routed away from the master bus like so that you sum the return signal of the effects only on a separate track. None of this is possible though, without either
    separate physical connections - so if you use AR main out only, everything goes through master bus
    overbridge - will allow you to open multiple outputs and route tracks as you wish.
    this is very important when it comes to effects. You can have effects processed through distortion, or not.

      No problem man and thank you for making that distinction. I suppose I was talking about the master track more in the sense of the Octatrack how you can manipulate it differently and apply different fx.

    • @earlsfield
      @earlsfield 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ponchy I get it. Well , Octatrack has totally different architecture being fully digital machine, as well as that 8th track you can turn into "master". I actually wrote comment above so people are aware of the limitations single output can cause when using AR as opposed to dedicated channels or Overbridge. While I love Ar for being 2many things in the box", i always use it with at least 4 dedicated tracks out of the main bus.

    How do you apply different fx parameters (eg. Delay time or delay feedback) to each track? Everytime I p-lock this to a trig, the entire delay chain for all channels changes too. So is there no way to p-lock track trigs individually?

    • @Ponchy
      @Ponchy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only real way to do delay time or feedback, for example, to an individual track is with performance mode or a scene, depending how you want the p-lock to behave. Just select which track/tracks you want the delay to affect and then press fx to goto the delay settings and you will be able to p-lock those delay parameters to a single track or more.
