No after life or moving on into the future. He wasn't a sociopath but the things happening broke him beyond repair

It's not that simple. Richter is not a good man. But he also is not a bad man. We feel it. The game tries to tell that people is not just good or just bad. All the characters we care for are fucked up, violent individuals to the point they become manic for it, no doubt about it. But violence is an aspect of life, and we, as society, tend to label everything in one sweep. The game tries to show that we are more than just the shock we provoke on others. The characters all are attracted to hurting other people, there's something about it they can't resist; it's their go to choice (threats or no threats). And sometimes, so is ours.
Beard hates violence and is a devout pacifist the only time he hurts people was in war when he was forcefully drafted against his will. It’s not about that it’s about violence the whole entirety of violence it’s effect the people that do it and for all the reason to do it It’s also about a whole host of other stuff hotline Mamie took of more then it could chew. It’s a great game don’t get me wrong but it doesn’t say anything fully or with enough nuance then violence and the people that commit it. It’s great at taking about stuff the way it does stuff has reasons and makes sense the problem is there isn’t a full argument about anything but violence. That was story wise by the way the gameplay of hotline Miami 2 is fucked for the most part expect for a few truly exceptional and fantastic levels.

Some people like Beard partake in violence because of duty and service to their home or what they perceive as a noble cause. Beard is a morally good person partaking in immoral actions because he basically has to. The same is true for Richter. Jacket kills only out of vengeance. Violence begets violence; therefore, a cycle of killing is created. Jacket isn't entirely evil, and you can reason for why he does what he does, but he is still murdering countless people for a selfish reason. He is ultimately a pawn in a bigger scheme that pushes violence. The Fans are objectively some of the worse morally. They kill for the fun of it. They take life as a game and are killed for it. Manny Pardo is another horrible person who kills only for the fame and the thrills. The list could go on and I would be writing essentially a small paper. But Hotline does have a very anti-violence message. It flat out shows that horrible actions have horrible consequences. But also shows that not all violence is inherently malicious. Men like Beard and Richter kill not because they enjoy it, but to protect something important to them. Violence is a cycle perpetuated by all sorts of people. It is an important part of the human experience regardless of morality. That is the bleak truth of the narrative.
You know, the act names fit well for HM2. In exposition we're introduced to part of the characters, their attitude, and stuff. Rising is where things start to boil up. We get introduced to Evan, and Henchman, who's story ends quick, earning The Fans a worse reputation. Climax starts Beard's story, Not a lot to talk about in into the pit, and dead ahead, and then there's Deathwish. Once you hear the gunshot, things start to *fall*. And that's when falling starts. Evan is once again fighting criminals, Beard's back, Jake's.. Dead, and Casualties starts.. At the outro of Beard's last level, the events start to fit together a bit. And then, there's Intermission, an intermission to the big events, focusing in Richter, the SECOND (evan exists) most merciful character in HM2's story. Catastrophe is the end. Son is now taking over the colombians, and Pardo.. Well, he had a bad dream. Feature Film: Apocalypse, is the final level in this game. And.. It's Son taking out the fans, his HQ, and himself (by accident).
Given this is a direct reference to the copshop shootout in Terminator, I feel this would have been much better suited for the intro chapter with Martin and his very own copshop shootout. Oh boy, that would've been the icing on the cake.

Martin's entire obsession was mostly related to mimicking the acts of the masked killer. More specifically, Martin was obsessed with what occured during Jacket's “Decadence” level. There's plenty of leitmotifs going on between both tracks, too. Thing is, Martin just can't get to grasp on Jacket's personality, so he only turns into a big rip-off of Decadence. Hence the similarities between track names, yet they are not the same.

I was watching terminator 1 and i'd realized that the motive of 0:25 is almost exactly the same one of the one of the i'll be back sountrack, when the T 800 is assaulting a police station.
the level is easily cleared with melee m8 git gud, go play hard mode and get some balls and the mission only lasted ~1:00 or so so 1/3 of ths song isnt heard even tho this is by far one of the best tracks in the game
