Beara To Breifne: Day 16 - Ballingarry, Lorrha to Portumna

A later than liked start in Ballingarry saw me trying to catch up all day into both Lorrha and Portumna.
Crossing the Shannon, which took me all of three or four minutes, two days less than O'Sullivan Beare's task four hundred years ago, with a considerably smaller loss of life.
Having Deirdre and David's company today certainly made the afternoon much more pleasant and learning not only about O'Sullivan's adventure but also sharing elements of Somerville Large's march 45 years ago.
