Hey Glenn, I've seen a few of your videos over the years. Your reviews are always great and well done, so cheers for that please and keep doing them. I gotta say what you played at 4:23 was beautiful! awesome bit of playing!! Cheers man!
+metalteradeth Thank you very much. That riff actually turned into a song on my Road To Redemption album. It's called "Reunion". You should cheek it out to see where I took it from here in this video and how it developed into what it is today.
+Glenn DeLaune it's done I purchased it from iTunes I love it thank you. reunion is now one of my favourite songs to chill to right next to Ry Cooder cheers for getting back to me I shall check out your other albums, great playing dude
Billy Ray since the G-System has several FX loops I'm not sure the exact connections. I never ran mine in 4CM, I'd always go straight into the front of the amp running on a clean channel then I would use distortion pedals to get my distortion.
@kennykanowski I would prefer the G-System but it cost three times more. For the price the GT-10 is very good and it sounds good with my tube amps using it in the 4 cable method.
Sure you can use those pedals, just put them in one of the loops. As far as expression pedals, the Mission Engineering are probably the best right now.
Glenn you should be using the 4CM so you can use the your great Traynor amp preamp. The 2cm you are currently using you are passing the whole dist + effects through the preamp, and some effects won´t sound as they should. 4cm will give you a more organic tone as the the dist + ovdr will pass through the preamp (just like connecting the pedals through the input) and all the effects through you poweramp stage via the fx loop.
i've never seen anyone on youtube before that uses the very same picking technique as me (using a thumb pick for alternate picking and strumming) - nice to see i'm not the only one! :)
just got a new tube amp.nothing special i'ts a bugera v22 but clean channel is realy good only 1 12xa7 in the pre-amp so i was really considering the nova system (don't need all that power for what i do)even though i'ts tempting.glad you likeing it though.
Immediate "Like" for playing Stone Temple Pilots! :) On an unrelated side note, I also really dig your instructional videos in general! And you playing!
Hey Glen great stuff!!! I just purchased the Nova System to run with some pedals and my Marshall JVM410h head. G System coming in the fall as i just want to get my feet wet a bit first being a Pedalboard user for so long. That being said may I suggest a KILLER Boost/Overdrive Pedal for you that I think you will love called the Doug Aldrich Rocket Fuel by a company called Majik Box. I think you would love it!! All The Best: Doug
man, really tempted.and the more i look at this thing the more iwant it.but what to do with the gt-10 and everything i got for it?i was thinking in getting the nova drive in front of my tube amp and just use the gt-10 in the loop of the amp.that way i'll stop messing with all the sims and get to playing. what you think bro?
@zero82611 - Neither. I am pretty sure those are just volume dedicated pedals. So unless it's for volume don't use it. I think boss has another one for other stuff. I think it's called EV????. Search around. Also this vid is on the g system. I recomend you save up and get the g system as oppose to the nova system. Nova system is a great at home or recording tool but live the G system is pro standard.
ah fair enough. i may go to the store and see if they'll let me try. ill inform you if I have any luck. and great playing by the way. I may have to try this thumb picking at some point
hey glenn if you ever change rigs again consider the eleven rack i have heard so many good reviews on it. This thing sounds awesome tho. i might post a vid of my new rig
Which of the three Distortion pedals sounds better in an all tube Guitar amplifier ( Traynor YCS 50 or Fender Vibroking ) and a Fender Stratocaster or a GIbson Les Paul Guitar.Thanks.
How come. You used to have a GT 10.I really got tired myself of the GT 10, too digital.I switched my self to single stompboxes and I am happy so far. I've heard a lot about TC electronic pedals and systems. They are pretty expensives though. Why you switched to TC electronics.
@extremevideopro Does the Gt-10 have a more realistic/better tone quality than the Pod X3 Live? More than stomp models, I am looking for a unit with good sound qualities. I want the feel of an amp while directly plugging to the board. Will the Pod x3 live be better for this or the Gt-10? Thanks for your help!
can u switch for example the amp channel and an od pedal with delay in one stomp? another question, i play on a mesa dual rec, would it be better through the loop or in front?
Another great demo Glenn! Do you stil have this unit? My question is regarding to AMP swicthing. I have an ENGL E530 preamp which has 2 footswitch ins. One for HiGain/LoGain & Clean/lead the other one is for PreampDefeat & Counter On/Off. Do you think G-System can handle this?
hey. just wondering can you use the gt 10 to control the nova drive? just wondering as i have and love the gt 10 but i'm not to keen on the distortion and the nova drive sounds great on the demo's i've seen.
I'm planning to play live performances in various places, and I need the most versatility. I'll be plugging straight into the PA system through an XLR, and I need a unit with both good amp modeling and good stomp modeling. I play at church, so I need tones for anywhere between Lincoln brewster to Hillsong. I won't be using a tube amp, so I will be depending heavily on the preamp for my tones. Would the Boss GT-10 suit my needs or will the POD X3 LIVE?
Glenn-I can see that thow the G system is more of a price tag then the boss&line six I can see that its less programing to set your effect & Drive settings to store them. But does it sacrifice quality sound with digital effects?
Hi .... I have a t. c nova I have a big request to colleagues about the reviews I want to replace the T c nova on G-system it worth it if there is a big difference ... thank you
I've always tried to steer away from individual pedals for the primary just of my board. The whole scenario of stomping everywhere to shut effects on/off aggravated me.Could you explain how easy it is to switch from your distortion pedals, to preset effects on the g-system back and forth?
Hi Glenn , I have a question for you , I have the boss gt-10 and you was a really help to understand this pedal. Now you think is a good idea change me pedal for a tc- g system ? Thanks !!!
Hello I want to buy a Nova System and an expression pedal Boss FV500. My question is between the models and FV500L FV500H. What is compatible with Nova System?
Glen, thanks so much for this video - I decided to add a Nova Drive to my G-System for the integration you showed. Is there something special you have to do to get it to show up in the effects list? I hooked it up with a MIDI y cable (I had to make one as nobody sells the originals anymore) and updated my firmware to v4.05, but the NOVA DRIVE still doesn't appear in my list.
@extremevideopro id love to hear you demo one, most of the demo's of the eleven rack on youtube are no good. Cool rig btw, Mr Vai uses one of these lol
Great demo of the G System and the Nova Drive ! I run my gear through the effects loop but after hearing how yours sounds I wonder if I need to. Do you do allot of volume edits to make sure the Delay is balanced ?
Hello Sir, well you really can't compare the two because this unit doesn't have any amp modeling. Only Effects!! But the FX are very very good. I'd say the GT-1000 effect are equally good but in the Effect category this unit might have some features the Boss does not have.
Hi Glenn, do you still recommend the Nova pedal with the G system? I am asking since the video is quite old and I am not sure if you still have that system or you figured out something better, thx :)
Seems more of a demo on 3 completely unrelated OD/distortion pedals than a demo on the G System? It showed my absolutely nothing that couldn't be done with 3 OD pedals on the floor??
@extremevideopro The G system Sounds as good as you play. The GT 10 Does not do you justice. Even if it costs 3 times as much ,it sounds a HUNDRED times Better. Cheers
hi glenn, wanted to let you know about gearmanndude on youtube, he does a lot of reviews of pedals. I bought one of his luthor drive distortion pedals and its killer. Check him out!

I was just as impressed by your use of the thumb pick as I was by the pedal. That's a pretty cool technique.
Glenn that pedal is PERFECT for the blues based stuff you are doing as well as any rock stuff as well.
Rondo Music in NYC. Model number CNB-PDC 4100G. It's been good for 3 years now. Rodie tested, R-N-R Approved!!!
Another great demo, Glenn, thanks. Looking forward to the blues CD, too.
Great review of the TC Electronic G system, I appreciate it.

+Glenn DeLaune that's an awesome piece of music just had a listen . thank you man where can I buy your album?
You can git it from my website where there are links to CD Baby, iTunes etc. Thank you very much.
+Glenn DeLaune it's done I purchased it from iTunes I love it thank you. reunion is now one of my favourite songs to chill to right next to Ry Cooder cheers for getting back to me I shall check out your other albums, great playing dude

Nice chops
finally got my pinnacle, and i also bought a line 6 m13...I'm really liking this new setup
The stickers are the best part! Great Job again Glen.

Really cool. Make sure the album is available online, I'll get a copy.
Amazing sound!!! really loved the VID
Dude the tone for Custard Pie was dead on..... I'm super jealous.
I just got one because my best friend is awesome and gave it to me brand new
Another great vid and great to hear some STP riffage:D

Oh cool. Yeah there are not many of us are there. I've been playing like that for over 40 years. Using a thumb pick that is.

@93309377 No I have not but I would use it in 4 cable method. Google it and give it a try.

Tanks for answer.

are you still using this glenn?
You should try the G-Force too !
Hello how did you get the sticker for the pedals in the g system ?
Glenn have you compared the G system with the Rocktron Utopia 300. some say it sounds great live as well as recording session on the spot creations .
@extremevideopro Does the Gt-10 have a more realistic/better tone quality than the Pod X3 Live? More than stomp models, I am looking for a unit with good sound qualities. oh yeah Glenn I am having a cutom head built man when its done i will make a vid for it
@extremevideopro does it suck tone if i don't have a fx-loop
hey. just wondering can you use the gt 10 to control the nova drive? just wondering as i have and love the gt 10 but i'm not to keen on the distortion and the nova drive sounds great on the demo's i've seen.
Is it possible to hook up head phones and use this system as an in-ear monitor?
I'm planning to play live performances in various places, and I need the most versatility. @extremevideopro yea haha guess simpler and easier to use is better for live or Studio. i
Hey buddy would you have the download for tc electronics vyzor editer
I used to have it. You can't find it??
hey glen?does the g put those distortion pedals in front of the amp.and the rest in after you're pre amp?
@extremevideopro were did you get that pedal board?
Hi .... I have a t. c nova I have a big request to colleagues about the reviews I want to replace the T c nova on G-system it worth it if there is a big difference ... thank you
very good review ... :)

how do play pinch harmonics with a thumb pick?
Hi Glenn , I have a question for you , I have the boss gt-10 and you was a really help to understand this pedal. Now you think is a good idea change me pedal for a tc- g system ? Thanks !!!
Where I can get the label for my g system I got a Proco rat
@extremevideopro
For the GT I assume ?!?!?
Which system do you prefer G system or GT-10

I've been wanting to get that pinnacle 2 for awhile now
Hello I want to buy a Nova System and an expression pedal Boss FV500. My question is between the models and FV500L FV500H. What is compatible with Nova System?
Plesase help mee... what are the global level settings on your G SYSTEM?
Havier I'm sorry but I don't have my G-System here with me right now.
Are you giving up the GT-10?
hey glen, what did you do with the G? are you experimenting with it stil? or did it not do anything for and you stopped useing it all together?

Glenn, Do you prefer digital effects or analog effects ?
hi after using all of this pedals what can you tell me about the pod x3? whats you're personal opinion on that unit?
Hello how did you make the stickers please? materials ? pens? thank you in advance.
Hey Glenn, where can I find a pedal case like yours?
Can you Give me the Tab oggi the first song?
Glenn, thaks for the video, ¿ this is better than Boss Gt 1000???
Hello Sir, well you really can't compare the two because this unit doesn't have any amp modeling. Only Effects!! But the FX are very very good. I'd say the GT-1000 effect are equally good but in the Effect category this unit might have some features the Boss does not have.
Hey Glenn. How did you make those stickers?
+David Southgate I work for a sticker printing company.
@extremevideopro I hear you there, for a moment i had to really look a the new format just to post a comment.LOL.
Who on Earth disliked this video? Must be a Line 6 or Boss employee.
Hi Glenn, do you still recommend the Nova pedal with the G system? I am asking since the video is quite old and I am not sure if you still have that system or you figured out something better, thx :)
ahmed rashed Yes I do recommend the Nova Drive along with the G-System. Make sure you get that special MIDI cable too.
thx man, cheers
what pedal board is that?
Seems more of a demo on 3 completely unrelated OD/distortion pedals than a demo on the G System? It showed my absolutely nothing that couldn't be done with 3 OD pedals on the floor??

best answer ever. funnier because its true lol!
I work at a sticker company.
this g system sounds better then the lame boss gt 10
"Why do you have 3 distortion pedals?"....said no guitarist....ever.
Another great job but THIS NEW TH-cam FORMAT SUXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great pedal board, I do own one. Better song, sounds great my friend.
Ok nice playing but I thought this was a gear demo not a playing demo
What NO DISTORTION that’s weird
stone temple pilots?
Sounds very "pedally" to my ear...
