That was so clever and utterly amazing. Thanks to you, our mother's well is back and running, and it sure is nice to have that nice spring water again! Of course, as Mr. Spock (Star Trek Episode: 'The Galileo Seven') once said: "There are always alternatives".

I came across this looking for ideas on how to clean out my gray water pipe that has a hole in it and is now full of mud and roots. i didn't know about it when I bought my house but it looks like someone hit it with a tiller and instead of fixing it they put a license plate on it and covered back up with dirt.
This may help me with that problem. thank you sir for posting this it will be a trick i will not soon forget.

6.5 horse shop vac and 50' of 2" dust collector hose will clean it right out. Bigger rocks can be a challenge but will bring all stone and silt up with no issues. If there's water in the well I dropped the hose down, let it fill the end then pulled it up. It won't pull lots of water up 20+ foot constantly.

Our mother has a shallow 16' well, but there's mud at and/or above the point that we have to remove. Perhaps we'll consider your method. Thanks!

This is a good idea, I'll try it with my own problem.
I hit a pea gravel layer at 1m deep, and it's really hard to drill using water, the pea go up the surface if i use up and down motion and seems floating around the bottom layer, maybe i should use mud with high viscosity, or a mechanical drilling method to drive the casing down.

Smashing, like your kindness mate :-)
You have made a sort of drill, like an archimedes screw, but with a twist, oooow sorry lol :-)
I do like the drill + storage idea :-)
As far as the bench saw is concerned, you did it all !!, you just needed a poke with a stick to get you going, ha ha :~)
    Hope you have helped him.

Hello, wow that's awesome. I stumbled upon your video and thought if it would work on cleaning out the sand out of the bottom of my water supply tank. We get our water from the creek. The tank was here when we got the place and doubt it has ever been cleaned out. But, its clogged with sand and my pump cant get any water from the tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Not sure how well a sump pump will work on this. It has 3" of sand on the bottom.

Hi there....got any ideas on this? Bought some land, has a well on it, and some jerk put pieces of cinderblock down the well...I can see 5or 6 pieces of cinderblock about 10 to 15 feet down the well casing. Most pple say just ram it down the hole....but then you’ll have all those pieces of cinderblock at the bottom of your well....and who knows how many layers of cinderblock there is ...you’d just be jamming it all tighter and tighter....any ides on how might to pull those pieces out ? Or even dissolve them? The well is useless to me now anyway...sure would appreciate your thoughts on this..can send you pictures if you like

Make yourself from rebar a U hook or a picker, weld 3 pieces of 6 to 8 inch of rebar on to a 1/2" inch pipe in a triangle spacing -} length wise like a TRIPOD , so the rebars are angled outward going down the well pipe (add coupling on top of pipe and you can keep adding 1/2" inch pipes to go deeper) and when you see the pieces of cinder block strike down with it so the cinder block pieces get caught between the triangular rebar like TRIPOD, because the rebar has notches! then pull them out one by one hope this helps!

I have muddy clay well with silt and sand that comes out through the pipes.. Especially when it rains alot the water gets dirtier and more cloudy.. What can I do??

    • @bctruck
      @bctruck  5 ปีที่แล้ว

I don’t know but if it gets cloudier when it rains, that means that your well isn’t sealed off from surface water getting into it.

Badass my hole is like 3 1/2 inch diameter and about 8 feet down I have what look like lots of 3/4 inch pebbles and sand. this will work fcking great on a long pipe to scoop out a few inches at a time. Only need to reach 20+ feet.

running a dremel is not dangerous in itself, i use them almost weekly for something including chainsaw cylinder work and here lately to cut crimped copper pex rings off of fittings and old pipe so i can re use them. i would highly recommend atleast speeding the motor up when using those cutting wheels. they are especially prone to break and fly off in pieces when ran at medium or low speeds. just passing along a helpful hint. great video even though i cant use it for my specific well. its too deep.
