The fact is that the project of Del - Sgr train link was put in fast project mode with fixed timeline to complete the line by PMO office directly and the progress is being monitored by PM himself and is direct train can ply on Sgr- Del rail line it is a tribute to the workers working on the ground who have worked in some sections 24x7 to complete the project. Railways had last year announced that train will start in Jan 2024 but due to tunnel 33 it could not be done. Any how if it starts in Jan 2025 it is s welcome step and it will give a seamless rail connectivity.
Having said so it has brought economic transformation in the areas near the track with thousands of kilometres of roads built by Railways to move men material & machinery. Very far flung areas which would not have seen the road Connectivity are now connected and it crated job opportunity to people nearby and small contractors living near by getting a slice of work jobs in that way it is a game changer.
