As a medical cannabis patient here in the US , I will say I like this video , this is the kind of video I wish Drew would do much more of , it shows the responsible stance of the Dr.'s there plus helps people who might be afraid to get certified to see it is not that scary or rough . I personally am a huge proponent of the medical cannabis here as in PA it is tested very strictly for purity , so I know my weed is clean and safe and not mixed with fentanyl from the streets . The only thing I don't like about the program in UK is the limitations on amounts you can purchase , that drives folks to the streets . I actually like when I can't call BS on Drew , better video worth watching .
I think the thinking behind that is managing tolerance. Ive vaped and smoked and "dabbled" with the dabs but generally gram a day good bud vaped works well for me. Personally i dont have any cannabis from jan to mid march but have just about every other day of the year since around 2011 for me today around a gram a day 20% thc vaped works well. Ive stopped smoking for a few weeks now which is something i did earlier in my history ive considered a bong hit to top off the new year before starting the big "tolerance break" as people call it. I rely more on other aspects of my personalised treatment plan.
@@shapattu1949 I understand that argument , but it is impossible for a government entity to gage an individuals pain levels and anxiety levels to know a proper dosage , it unfortunately is not one size fits all . Again nothing wrong with taking a tolerance break if needed , luckily enough for me since going on our medical cannabis program here , I have such a good selection of strains and products , I have not in almost 5 years ran into a tolerance issue , I use about the same amount every day and I stay very well light , but mostly better moods and less anxiety and pain from my messed up back . So glad we only have to do 1 time a year in the US. Very easy. My state has a limit of 2.83 gams of flower a day or .84 grams of concentrate. It's always either just enough or more than enough for me. I know plenty of people feel like they need more, but i love the amount. It keeps my usage in check for the perfect amount to not destroy my tolerance.

Im debating getting a prescription but kind of confused to the process and options available to a patient i already know im eligible ita just the confusion that deters me
You can swap strains. I do so every month. Whether you pay to do that depends on the clinic. I'm with Mamedica and I don't have to pay extra just to change strains.
@@MedicatedMentor ive already signed up and received a call of them today to push my assessment closer, got my call on 6th and the lady on phone explained all options and fees to me so i now understand after writing the original comment lol
I see the "illicit Black" market as a...... FARMERs market Keen enthusiasts producing exceptional produce, as a livelihood. The media stigma behind the word "illicit black" is draconian. Looking forward to the right to grow my own medicine Saving thousands And even legalisation inline with the majority of states in america. So budding entrepreneurs are no longer deemed criminals And experience horticulture enthusiast are celebrated Not imprisoned.
@@JaSon-wc4pn I definitely support both recreational and GYO access; however, from a medical standpoint, it’s hard to fully endorse GYO from a patient perspective as a true medicinal option (because medicines are dose controlled and regulated), and so, in absence of testing and regulation, at best GYO is more like self medicating, than it is considered a trusted and consistent medicine. That’s not to say I don’t support GYO, but a lot of patients simply would not have the means or resources to produce good quality cannabis medicine at home. Let alone consistently. When I refer to the illicit black market in my original comment, I am simply referring to the fact that black market cannabis is illegal; and I’m making no inferences as to its quality (we all know a lot of BM is exceptional quality, but equally a lot of people only have access to poor quality BM). You’re absolutely right though that a lot of “BM” growers end up being the very same people who produce medical quality cannabis for pharmaceuticals; the difference between the two is often simply a job interview and a contract.
Do you still refer to it as the black market? Or do you now call it the essential market or backup market for when mamedica let you down, keep you waiting etc

So do patients get to choose a strain monthly or does it cost to swap medication, i don't understand how patients can vape the same medication over and over and not become immune to it or decide its not for them, i smoke black market cannabis at the moment and no matter how good it os i cant stick to the same strain over and over again.

Was nice to see this video addressing the illicit black market and cannabis misuse. 🎉😊 👏🏼 well done
I see the "illicit Black" market as a...... FARMERs market
Keen enthusiasts producing exceptional produce, as a livelihood.
The media stigma behind the word "illicit black" is draconian.
Looking forward to the right to grow my own medicine
Saving thousands
And even legalisation inline with the majority of states in america.
So budding entrepreneurs are no longer deemed criminals
And experience horticulture enthusiast are celebrated Not imprisoned.
Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate it! 💫🙌🏽
Do you still refer to it as the black market? Or do you now call it the essential market or backup market for when mamedica let you down, keep you waiting etc
@WanKerr-ye1rsI dunno… it tells me that he’s primarily a recreational user?
Is this an organisation for England only? Or can Scottish patients join?
Scots can do it too
@@MedicatedMentor thanks 😊
Hi there, thanks for reaching out. We support patients across the UK with medical cannabis prescriptions. You don't need to visit the clinic as all consultations take place online and we post your prescription to your door via first-class tracked Royal Mail.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. We offer an Access Scheme for veterans and patients who are receiving means-based benefits from the UK government. This program enables patients to access our clinic services at a discounted rate. For £200, patients on the Access Scheme get full access to our clinic team, which includes all consultations for life.
The cost of the medical cannabis products can vary widely depending on the type, dose, and quantity prescribed, but on average patients can expect to pay as little as £5 per day for their medication. For example, within our range of prescribed medicines, we offer flower from £5 to £14 per gram and oil from £30.
Once again only wealthy people can afford medicine
We have to do our reviews in Australia every month!!!

That was very helpful, Drew. Thank you.
This whole legal process is very professional, although that’s almost stopping me as it’s so easy to throw a few autos in the garden amongst my plants. Surprised only one person has spotted them in 12 years
It's honestly not as formal as it looks. I'm not with mamedica but my appointment was about 5 minutes long and then I was prescribed 30g. All they wanted from me was what prescriptions I'm on and for what, in total it was just under 2 weeks from application to having the weed in my hands.
😮 ive been self medicating since i was like 11 im now 34 i have stickler syndrome but im a single dad can't get in trouble anymore over self medicating 🙄 👮 how do i see if im eligible?😂
I am thinking of joining mamedica, I’m a bit worried about the negative reviews regarding delivery. Is this a problem?

I just hope they get the terps sorted in the medbud..aroma therapy from the terps is what gives you a smile on your face and happy feelings.
I think that's why he hasn't found a good day time strain.
They do have good strains for pain anxiety for night time tho.
Does anyone know of a good oil from mamedic?

calling, asking and in the end, they'll ask you to pay extra to use another dispensary. I tell you what it is too much headache... I wish I had known that before I signed with them
Do you think they’re trying to pass off the worse meds to try and keep the knowledge of the better ones to themselves?
