@@SchoonerIssuma Second version of the video much better. Flying a drone from the boat is not a problem rather it is the landing ! I flew the drone from the boat once and almost crashed it so i didn't try it again. Great video George. How do you put the box at the end of the video with your youtube channel?? Thanks again for sharing! Ed
Hey Richard! I'm enjoying your videos. Seeing swell from that perspective was interesting. Most video I've seen of swell is from the perspective of the deck where it's really hard to get a sense for it, and most drone footage I've seen is either of pretty flat seas or in "exciting" conditions. Would you say that swell is typical for those conditions, or was the amplitude increased by the depth in that area?
Thanks Rick! I'm also only used to seeing swell from the deck, so being able to see the sea and the boat from the drone was really interesting to me. The seas were about 3m/10', and the conditions for flying the drone were marginal (almost at the point of being too windy). The seas seemed a little steeper near Cape Spear, where the drone video was taken, but not much more so than afterwards--we were still in pretty deep water.
Lovely Sail and great video , I look fwd to more drone shots.
Thanks George! Drones are great, and one day I'll get one. There's a lot of learning involved in flying and landing a drone.
