@@tylerellis3373 are you using any mods because the mods you are using maybe screwing it up if not uninstall and reinstall your game. That might work if not just keep trying maybe it’ll work then.

Can you set a spawn cap for certain tagged entities in this??? like spawner will pause when reaching its caps (for example 20) and resume when the tagged entities are less than 20. Thx

hey uhh i made like 8 of these but i save them in save as i name them like endless wave or combat when i save under combat it just terminates it if i do endless wave it just wont show up

Oh and I can't just move around in gem editor i have to do it in the minimap, also I can't place props if there are no soldiers on the map already to have some kind of view.

So far this works for both men of war assault squad, and men of war assault squad 2.
works in call to arms as well. pretty much anygame using this engine.
Is there any way to make the soldiers walk around freely instead of following the way points?
How can you see the enemy units like when you put to player 1 they would disappear. How do I fix that?

hello, it still isn't working for me. could anyone please help? I don't know if it's the mod?? I'm using Robz Realism on omaha and i wanted to test this with infantry first, they just aren't spawning.
edit: now they're following the way point but not spawning more

Hello, help, please, with the editor, how to make the units (ai) themselves determine the vehicles and weapons for non-employment in case of detection of enemy forces and occupy it. p.s I only got it so that only one weapon is occupied by the rest of the ignore.

Hey, great video, but I have some issue.. I do everything same as you, and after I start the game, the troops do nothing, and I cant find out why...
Is there a way to have soldiers in vehicles like trucks/half-tracks to stay in the vehicles during combat or at least have them follow the waypoints after dismounting? I have a problem where occasionally my soldiers in half-tracks will randomly dismount towards the beginning waypoints then proceed to do nothing but stand in the field.
Also is there any difference between waypoint and actor_to_waypoint?
You have to disable the option "emit_passengers_on_enemies", in the section "ables"

Hello i really like this video its really help to entertain me with in my own GEM EDITOR, but i want to make it into defend mission for one hour, how can i make it into defend mission?
I can confirm as of June 2022 this works on call to arms editor also.

When i tick the box that says clone the units that would follow the waypoints no longer do so. pls help.

Whenever I click play it teleports them back to the waypoint everytime
So I followed the instructions for the infantry but they don't move at all they just stand there, Ive redoing the entire thing over again 7 times and I still cant get it to work, can I please get some help on what Im doing wrong here
Hmm, sorry you are having trouble. The things I can suggest are:
1. Have you put in the correct waypoint number?
2. Have you given the troops the tag hidden?
3. Are the waypoints linked together via a yellow arrow in the direction you want the troops to follow?
4. Have you made a tag with spaces in? This can cause the game to recognise two separate tags rather than one?
Really awesome tutorial really like it. But I for some reason am having trouble. I follow completely through it and did everything you did. But when I click start the troops that are suppose to spawn in dissapear and dont spawn. Idk what went wrong :(
My troops simply put their weapons away and don’t move at all.

What skybox are you using?
Tried this in the GoH Editor but didn't work. lol I thought it would work just the same haha
Hey! Is there a way to make it start after a given time and make it stop after a given time like in the defend campaign missions?
You can add a delay command at the start of the process to delay the start of the waves (before the loop sequence) and using the delay command between waves you can editor how long in total the waves will last e.g 30 secs between waves for 5 waves = 2.5mins
You can also add a condition which after a Certain amount of time the forces retreat to a certain waypoint therefore ending the attack (the command, actor to waypoint )
Doesnt work for me. Could be that i use mod units but they dont react at all

So after I get the ai to murder each other how do I save the state of the Map after the battle and continue to edit
There is no way to save any progress made after you press start in the editor. As soon as you press finish it will bring you back to the editor
How do you put you men into a passive behaviour? Like rifle holstered and just standing around....?
You can script actor state and it’s weapon prepare off

Just set the loop command to how many waves you want to spawn

Mine wont work when i tick CLONE. Units wont move. But if i un tick clone they will move after start but wont spawn new units. Any thoughts anyone?

I have a question I tried this but when I did waypoints it never showed the yellow line path and my units only spawned that was it is there a reason for it to do that and how do I fix it
Did you link the waypoints together? Therefore creating the yellow path?
@@HalibutPlays autolink was on but I did find that's after placing them I just grab all of them then i could add the yellow line

Hey, do they not stop to shoot when attacked? Normally when a unit comes under attack they will ignore they waypoints and move independently
@@HalibutPlays I figured out the issue, you must make the tanks a squad in the waypoint check bar or they will not stop.

How do you get the delay to work before the first spawn? I don't want them all to spawn at once.
I think you just change the first delay but I have no clue
@@patricksmith6673 I solved the issue. I just forgot to include the hidden tag. That’s why they weren’t moving.

Usually the main reason is because people havent included the hidden tag it seems

It does, but for stormies it will remove they're helmets

Didn't work units don't get hidden nor duplicate themselves or even follow the waypoint
You have to put a new poly where the units spawn. You can make a new poly by pressing on the circle called ''Zone'' and make a new poly around your units.
It doesn’t work my infantry sometimes do nothing or somethings put their gun away but stay where they are and no more spawn nothing here worked

@@yuehaowu I attempted yesterday to try 4 different videos and 4 methods to making a wave spawner and none of them worked so I guess I won’t be doing waves anytime soon lmao
Have you selected the correct waypoint / are they linked?
Have you given your troops the hidden tag?
@@HalibutPlays yes I did everything 100% correctly I even triple checked to make sure but when I press start they just stand there
I did this and would not recommend it because the spawns go on forever and then it cause overloading of the computer and slows the game down up till it cannot flow anymore and will seize itself. Best if there is a stop after 200 vehicles, 300 infantries, and other entities. Don't risk it.
Hey Mick, just reduce the amount of times the script 'loops', this will limit how many entities spawn to save your pc the struggle
