    What did Ojukwu do when he saw his people, including women and children dying?. That was callous. Gowan is a good and compassionate man. I'm not surprised God granted him longevity.

    But General Olusegun Obasanjo demanded the extradition of Gowon from the UK Government when he was implicated in the failed dimka coup that resulted in the assassination of General Muritala Mohammed in February 1976.

      @olugbengasobiye8083 Brother, I like your comment, but if it is okay with you for me to add these points, one, in 1993, MKO Abiola won the best election in Nigeria's history, Abacha and Babangida denied him the sit. Abacha then arrested MKO, Obasanjo, Yaradua, Diya, Adisa, Olanrewaju, Fadile, and several others. Abacha proceeded to murder Saro Wiwa, MKO's wife, Yaradua, and Rewane. Jailed several eminent citizens and journalists for speaking up. And stole over 5 billion dollars, which is about 20 billion dollars in today's money. Is that not deeply evil.

    • @victoredwards3959
      @victoredwards3959 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Military regime are evil by their nature, they steal power, they don’t earn it , and the only way to hold on to power is by force, brutality, violence, corruption and intimidation, and if anyone attempts to steal power from the incumbent regime, if they fail, and get arrested, death is certain. Babangida killed his best friend, on a a mere suspicion that he might be involved in a coup. In fact Buhari is a saint compared to babangida and Abacha , even obasonjo . Obasojon executed officers who have knowledge of the coup plot but kept quiet, Babangida executed more military officers than any other military government in Nigeria ( Gideon coup and fake vista coup) . Abacha was just evil, he killed anyone that he considered an enemy.

    Gowon should tender unreserved apologies to Igbos. About three million Igbos lost their lives under his watch. He took war to innocent people. Ojukwu never declared any war. Rather, Gowon did. Ojukwu only defended his people.

      U are distorting history. When a man refuses to acknowledge the sovereignty and his allegiance to a nation , despite holding a public office ; what does that amount to ? You should be grateful for his no vanquished no victor declaration after the war

      Did you not read that Chukwuemeka Ojukwu's secession was not immediately countered by the federal military under Yakubu Gowon? Ojukwu was the first to attack the Mid-West and then faced Lagos before the federal military responded and war broke out. Not casting blame here but stating historical fact.

    • @CanaryKin
      @CanaryKin หลายเดือนก่อน

      Gowon and Ojukwu had a struggle for power. Neither was elected- they were both military men and soldiers who wage war.
      However Gowon targeted innocent civilian children because he couldn’t defeat Ojukwu. Mass murder of children as national policy has placed a curse on all those involved as well as Nigeria.
      The law of karma has really affected Nigeria:
      - exchange rate 1600:1
      - poverty capital of the world
      - insecurity
      - no electricity ⚡️
      - no future
      - from largest economy to loser
      Gowon should put down bravado and focus on saving his soul. Satan is waiting to collect. He should ask for forgiveness before he departs this world.
      As for Naija, as long as people are stubbornly clinging to the support of mass murder of children God will continue to rain down plagues and curses on the evil hearts.
      Move with caution ⚠️ so you don’t curse your children.
      God bless

    Murtala Muhammad was assassinated in 13th February 1976 during the Lt Colonel Buka Suka Dimka coup.
    Obasanjo took over power that same 1976 to succeed the late General Muhammed.
    Obasanjo was not Head of state in 1975.
    It was General Mutala Muhammed that was in Power in 1975.
    Obasanjo was military Head of state from 1976 to 1979 when he handed over power to Late Alhaji Shehu Shagari.
