I used to use the heck out of the timed vertical weeklies in the Cousin with my last job where I had lots of appointments, but my new job that started in august has maybe 4 meetings a week. So I struggled similarly with the times weeklies. I am also transitioning to use them for to-do lists. I just bought an Annie Plans / Aura Estelle B6 daily planner to try it out. The more abbreviated weekly spread, plus the dailies, may be what I need.

I use a few plannners for different reasons. I considered the Hobo Cousin, but A5 is too big. I love the B6 size. And I'm really thinking of purchasing the Sterling Ink B6 Common Planner. I’ve been using the TAN planner and really enjoying it so far! My only wish is that I had gotten the A5 size so I could include photos and some ephemera with my memory keeping.
I am five months in my B6 common planner and I’ve realized I don’t need the daily pages for what I’m using it for. At first I wasn’t using the weeklies, but eventually I realizedI wasn’t really using the whole daily pages, just the top so I switched to weeklies and liked it better. So now I have a third of the planner that’s just wasted. I love the layout, but I hope Catherine eventually will only make a monthly/weekly setup.
You might like using a pencil board in your planner. Helps with the bumps and also can be used as a ruler when needed. I like using zig dot markers in my trackers because I too think an X means something isn’t done. And get confused 🫤 The full year CP is thicker than the full year Cousin I’m fairly certain. Not a lot but thicker and of course although bound similarly they aren’t the same structure so that’s probably the difference in the hump. Because the hump itself would be the same in any size if the notebook is made the same and has the same number of pages. That’s been my experience with thicker notebooks in different sizes. I don’t like writing in thick notebooks and love a half year for a fresh start so I have the half year CP and love it. Sorry the hump is annoying. Adding something under the side that’s less thick can help level it out when writing.
I wanted to get this initially coz the max size that I’d go for nowadays is either a TN standard or B6, but I already purchased my main planner. Mixing ballpoint with fountain pen is something I’m exploring lately and I guess I’m in that frixion pen phase haha.
I did the same thing! I am in the 222 a6 and was so sad when I saw the CP in B6 - I had already purchased and even getting it set up so I was NOT going to change. I hope they offer these again next year and I’m now on their email list so I know what’s going on! Lol. I’m using a friction this year too and love being able to erase…just being careful not to leave it in a hot car or anything!
