I'm pleased to see you give Darlene the credit and be respectful towards her. I enjoyed watching this and will come back next month to see your take on Block 2.
Your block came out delightful. I also am a fan of Darlene's & am pleased to see you in particular follow this series of hers. One because I admire your style too & two because it truly helps me to see different perspectives. For instance the way of putting same fabrics side by side. As someone with limited fabrics I've been reluctant to start this series but you have demonstrated how well it can work. Thank you & now I must subscribe. 😊
I hope a lot of people post their versions of Darlenes BOM. Your block is adorable! 💞 Thank you for sharing and for letting people know about Darlenes BOM. 😊🐈🐱
Love this !!! Watched hers also and making it ❤ Nora, please do your own BOM also, I love the way you teach and show everything. I love how you put fabric together as well ❤ You, Darlene and jelly roll club are my favorites !!!! Tyvm
I love Darlene’s channel as well …. She is so fun to watch …. Love her content …. Your channel is enjoyable as well … I remember when you made a video after winning a Darlene penny auction …. One of my favorites of yours is the Peek a Boo quilt … I still need to make one of those !!!!
I agree with the asymmetrical look. I've done it on pieced backs many times and found I liked the backing better. Now I've moved to putting one or two asymmetrical blocks on my more traditional quilt tops for a focal point. 🎶💐💖
Happy New Year! The block is very attractive - pleased that you have kept the scraps from this block to use in others. Thanks for sharing. ❤👍from Somerset UK

My two favourite quilters, working together!

I really like how your cat floats Nora. Also, the use of the same fabrics side by side like you mentioned.
I like your block and I love to watch Darlene’s videos and yours. Thank you.
I'm a Darlene fan too! Can't wait to see both versions!!
Love the blocks, especially the reds. And that other cat face is amazing, hopefully it can go somewhere in the quilt.

Love your fabrics and block!
Love it. I just love your style. So fun and so unique. 💕
You could save the extra cat block to put in one of Darlene’s future boxes
I know you are a fan of Darlene's. Your black is awesome. ❤
I like your version a bit better. Will each month's block feature a cat?
Way cute!!
Your border is too big and that red rectangle draws your attention away from the cat.
In your opinion
