    Nice to see this build Alex,at first glance,you wouldn't know that this was a Tamiya.

      Hi David and thank you for your comment! I kind of agree with you. Both in the shape and in the assembly of this kit I was surprised several times. The body is angular, the damper towers are “enormous”, etc. In any case, the quality is at the rendez-vous.
      Thanks again for your comment, I hope you’re okay as well as your family.
      My usual store will no longer have a TT-02D chassis for the moment, (the pandemic doesn’t bother anything I guess) your body will have to wait a little longer.
      Have a great weekend, my friend. Take care.

    Looks great the paint job so different but the same as the box art. But like all projects the price shoots up with all the upgrades but worth it for this great buggy.

      Hi Malcolm and thank you for watching!
      You’re right, my painting work is different from box art. In fact, I can never follow box art. There’s always something I don’t like about it. Here there were red and yellow flashes. I thought they had nothing to do here since the basic colours were white, pink and a little blue. I preferred a glittery grey to a white one (It looks like a party dress, but it does it anyway.) and put aside the red and yellow ones.
      You’re right, the Hop-Ups went up the score, but this buggy is really great to drive and I don’t regret the investment. Tamiya’s primary goal is to make money. . . and it works.
      Thanks again, take care mon ami.

    Hey that looks brilliant Alex. Hopped Up to the max! Really like the edit and music. I'm still remembering you with the sped up voice saying 'that's not cool!' when you found that the wheels weren't pink! :-) Looks great as it is with the white ones. Hope all is well with you my friend. Weather here has turned rainy which is a bit of a relief to be honest as the 30C heat last week was all a bit much. Just in the hobby room doing some tinkering. Cheers for now mate :-)

      Hi Pete and thanks for your comment! Yes, it's true I wanted the pink rims but as you say he looks just as good with the white ones.
      I'm fine, thank you. Here we had 37°c for several days, it was finally unpleasant even if I like summer. As for you, we greet with pleasure the arrival of the rain, we breathe again. I think the older I get, the less I can stand the heat.
      I'm leaving tomorrow for the sea for some with my camper. It'll do me good to get some fresh air, I haven't moved since lockdown. And it'll be a chance to take this new buggy to new places.
      I hope you're okay too and that the work isn't too hard. Happy RC tinkering and Take care mon ami.

      @@fencenaoghen3569 Yeah you are right, I'm sure I could cope with the heat when I was younger. 37C is outrageous! I have experienced that type of heat and it's just too much. Anyway, have a great trip in the camper. Be good to see some new sights. Take care my friend :-)

    Oh wow! This Tamiya just screams quality! Love the video and the way you put it together - so many hop-ups, this is pure Tamiya porn! Oh boy, I want one of these buggies, 2WD is just the best fun for off road running. I have never seen this beauty for sale in the UK, but I sure will be looking. Can't wait to see the first run - hope all is good with you my friend, take care and I'll talk to you soon! :)

      My friend Mark! Thank you for your comment. You're right, this Tamiya kit is really a step up in quality. It was a real treat to do this build. Some Hop-ups I installed are not really necessary to appreciate this buggy but I wanted to get closer to a "race" type setup.
      If you can't find this buggy in the UK I can help you. The store where I bought my kit still has one. He offers it at 199 euros (which seems to be a good price). Unfortunately it seems not to deliver outside of France. If you wish, I could buy it and send it to you afterwards. In any case, I wouldn't mind at all and I'd even be happy to help you.
      I'm fine thank you, I haven't been able to go to the sea yet like I told you but I took the opportunity to finish this great buggy.
      I hope everything's going well for you, too. Don't hesitate to contact me. Take care mon ami and.... santé ! (cheers !)

      @@fencenaoghen3569 Thank you so much for the very generous offer, Alex! Unfortunately I can't take you up on it as I have just bought another kit, and have to wait until funds allow for the next project. I am blown away by your kindness, mon ami! If there is anything I can ever do to help you in any way, it will be my pleasure! Take care - sante! :))

      @@MarkBryanRC Hey, Mark! I understand, we need to pay attention to our wallets. If one day you want to buy a kit that you have trouble finding or find too expensive in the UK, especially don’t hesitate to contact me.
      Come on, we’ve got two weeks before the takeover. Let’s take advantage of it. I’m traveling with my camper and it’s great, I see very nice things.
      Take care mon ami, à bientôt !

    Such a cool build, Alex. And wow. Looks like you nearly got more hop-ups on this one than on a 201 🙂 So tempting this one ... 🙂 So what was all that with the wheel hop-ups? Didn’t it come with wheels?

    • @fencenaoghen3569
      @fencenaoghen3569  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mikael! Yes it's true I put a lot of Hop-Ups on this chassis and frankly I don't regret it. It's amazing, the handling is great and the suspension work is just perfect. As for the wheels, I think it's just a little whim on my part. The rims come with the kit but I was disappointed not to have the pink rims which they are reserved for the Japanese market. After some research, no pink rims available but I came across a strange Hop-up: they are actually rims molded from a harder and more resistant plastic than those present in the kit. Here you see it was really a whim on my part ... it's a Hop-Up not really necessary!
      Thank you very much for your comment, if you have the opportunity to find this buggy buy it, it's great! Tell me the prices you found I will compare with what we find here. maybe I could help you to find one at a good price.
      Excellent evening to you my Scandi friend. Take care.

      @@fencenaoghen3569 Thanks for the explanation, Alex. Ahh, okay. I thought maybe it was to change the wheel adapters or something. But sounds good, that the stock wheels can be used too. Did it come with tires? I always purchase my Tamiya abroad. The Danish prices are a bit ridiculous and no real good specialized Tamiya dealers here. So I go to Tamico, Tony's on eBay or Modelsport and the likes. Tamico got it for 170 Euro. I remember they had it on a week-sale for 100 Euro once. Not sure yet if I will get it just now. But thinking about it. I'm more interested in the mid-range "normal" line of buggies than TRF so the DN-01 is definitely a must some time. Got a TT-02B MS too build, but would love to have this sitting in the box and waiting.

      Hi Mikael and sorry for the late reply. Yes there are the tires delivered with the kit. 170 euros at Tamico is a good price. I found it at 150 but it is already out of stock ... I wish you a good search. I also have the TT02B MS. I haven't taken it out of its box yet either ... See you soon Mikael, take care mon ami 🎌

    Did you have to put grease on the pinion and spur? I am wondering because i am going through spur gears like they're weeds. If so, what grease did you use?

    • @fencenaoghen3569
      @fencenaoghen3569  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nick! Yes, you have to grease the pinion and the spur gear. Recently, I have been using a grease suitable for bearings and gears subjected to pressure and heat. This is Facom Lithium grease. However, you can use Tamiya ceramic grease, it works very well too.
      I wish you a good building my friend, enjoy it!
