If anyone is interested, the german word for this building technique is Fachwerk ("ch" is spoken as a soft hiss).
It is kind of a farm- or rural building.
The big downstairs room is the kitchen/living room, usually equipped with a big oven and/or stove. The upstairs rooms are bedchambers, though it is unusual that they all the same size.
The other downstairs room is a tool shed and houses a tractor or a carriage
This house is still fairly small for a Fachwerkhaus

I was impressively confused during the first half lol. Nice to see this game back. Really interested in the African hut, I think that’ll be neat.
A block chimney is fine for a wood stove (as long as it's lined or a stovepipe is installed). Pretty common.

I’ve lived in a duplex before, and there was a doorway (that could be blocked from both sides) between the two halves. I’ve never seen a house without a door between two sections. That made me confused, too. Also, I am convinced the developers don’t know that a chimney is more than just one set of concrete blocks. Lol. Still, this house turned out nice in the end, if a little cramped. And I do love this game. I look forward to seeing the next place, too.

It was even worse for that rabbit when the truck first drove up. That bunny got thrown at least 7 feet.
Mabye the chimney was build in a way that you could put a chimney there if you wanted one.
I think the half timber isnt the type of wood its the fact the house is HALF made of timber and the other half is brick 🤣
