Thank you for this! Hay, oats and water is all a horse should be fed! Great video! ❤️

Don't forget a salt and mineral lick as well - or that feeder thing this fellow recommends. I think the licks are better as long as nothing is added - so check the manufacturer specs.

Please, please, please do a video on feeding seniors! Especially if teeth are poor. (Yes, has been vetted and floated and wormed). I absolutely hate feeding senior feed. 😫 It is no better than sweet feed.

I feed whole oats. I'm in Australia. And similar vitamins, minerals, amino acids and minerals. Hay. And pastures. Like your horses Ted or horses look and feel really well.

Are you buying your minerals separately and mixing them? Would you mind telling me the brand you use so I can have a reference for my feed store?

I can see the oats in my horses stool, does that mean they aren’t getting any nutrients from it?

Hello! On your opinion, is it possible to feed hay to the horses all the year round together with some carrots (other vegetables) or oats if needed, some minerals as free choice, I mean without green grass or grazing, because of absence of such a possibility? Thanks for the answer.

Feed free choice grass hay and a mineral/salt. That is all they need!!

Horses do not need grain. Ythey need good vitamins good clean hay an the best time for grass is 3 am to 9am then back in the barn lot with freedom to be in big pen with 2 flakes good weed frre bromw or Timothy are my favorite but the am out at 3 to 4 am an back in dry lot is important if not u will founder yyour horsescan with grain samevthing or could colic. So look it up : hey google what is safest tme for a horse to be on grass. ❤😊🎉

I buy mine already crimped. Best I can do with time and money involved

@@HandyHorsemanOhio I finally found a small roller I can use. It was designed for beer making. It sits on top of a 5 gallon bucket. It seems to do the job though I wish it crimped a little tighter. I don't see any whole oats in the horses poops so hopefully it is working. Thanks for the tip on feeding oats to my horses. Now all of my animals love them! Goats, chickens, turkeys, and rabbit, alike!

@@traddymom4368 How did your roller hold up over time? I was looking at the small beer ones but was concerned about longevity.

Good advice - for humans as well - try eliminating processed foods and added sugars from your diet - focus on a mostly plant-based diet (include fermented plants), plus reasonably healthy fats from pasture grass fed and finished cattle, seafood (omega-3), and some mineral supplements and I guarantee your health will measurably improve within a month and just get better and better thereafter. The corporate food processors are effectively packaging up the same cra& they've been calling dog food. Just like you do for yourself - have y our horse's blood checked every six months, or more frequently, for glucose levels, insulin, and other metrics to monitor improvement. Just like our processed food is creating sick-monster kids and people, it's creating sick-crazy animals.
