I think the kid was meant to say "I'm all furry", instead of "I'm a Furry", possibly the kid had trouble saying his lines, but then again "I'm a Furry" sounds funnier.

Theres a story going round that the reason the sun rose that one time was because it indeed rose with Chanticleer's help, but when the animals mocked and banished him, the sun (which was supposed to be a character of its own) got sad, and decided never to rise again unless Chanticleer himself summoned it by singing.
In the final version, this explanation isnt made clear, and so it just rises on it's own then never rises again for no reason.
I'm glad someone is around to try make sense of this movie. 😂👌
That song with chanticleer and the female rooster looks like a lighter version of one of ralp bakshi films.
The narrator and Patou the dog were voiced by Phil Harris, who was in three Disney movies: The Jungle Book as Baloo, O'Malley in The Aristocats, and Little John from Robin Hood. Sadly, this was the last movie he worked on before his death. Also, Jason Marin, the original voice of Flounder from The Little Mermaid, played one of Edmund's brothers.

Phil Harris was also a regular on the Jack Benny radio program in the 1930s and 1940s
why did the sun rise up withhout him? as the narrator said in the opening "what if the sun came up took a look around and decided to go back to sleep". his crow wakes up the sun with no snooze button

You’re supposed to fill out the completely blank sheet that appears *before* the story, and *then* fill out the story with the words you came up with. That way, it’ll appear completely random in context, and help bolster Doug’s case further.
20:07, the movie was made by Tim Burton which would explain everything though yeah, it's pretty good. Watched it when I was a kid too.
