Sport injuries are painful especially to the legs or head...extremely damaging events if the bones injured...like my knee and ankles...extremely painful....the knee never recovered 😢

O'Malley saw this and got flashbacks
After popping my achilles playing basketball this last October, the way he was moving after makes me think its the achilles. The foot dangling... when walking with a torn achilles it feels literally like the ground in caving in every step you take. It is a very odd feeling. Not much pain at all but very odd feeling. The recovery is brutal as well. I tore mine in the calf muscle and am still struggling to recovery due to the scar tissue built up in the muscle where the repair was done
it was a knee contusion. he also wasn’t grabbing the area where you would if you injured your achilles. his foot also wasn’t actually floppy he’s walking and putting pressure on it at the end of the clip he probably was just in pain and not straining the ankle hence why it appeared that way. either way they’ve already said it was a knee contusion and he’s listed as questionable for next game so not an achilles

That’s likely not an ACL or ligamentous rupture based on MOI. Likely a nerve contusion or something based off his foot drop. The nerve on the lateral knee responsible for dorsiflexion of the ankle was hit hard (what can happen in MMA) and is hence why he seems to be limping around with “drop foot”
