My friend and I were in the dressing room being shown round the ground on the day he came out of hospital. He showed me his knee and explained everything that had been done to it - it was every colour under the sun. He was always my hero of heroes and still is. I could not believe I was there talking to him. I still can't to be honest. A great man in every way.
Only seen him play once for city on his comeback.guys a city legend, some of the present team could learn a lot from him. With the talent we have now with the right attitude the premiership is ours next season
imagine seeing colin bell run past you in the street... you wouldn't notice it was him, suddenyl stop, think to yourself "was that...?" then turn around and be in complete shock
I remember this. It was part of Nationwide (a current affairs TV show on BBC1) when Man City were the programme's 'Team For a Season'. On paper City had the best squad in the league, which is why the producers chose to follow them, but they were mediocre and didn't even look like winning a trophy.

Quiet, well spoken, over thirty years since he last played. No one will ever replace him. Would've given my right arm to see him play at city!!
